October 2018 Arriva North East Photograph by As a result of the inward transfer of four Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini at Jesmond for use on "MAX" service 306, this vehicle has been released for transfer to Belmont Depot for use on "MAX" service X12. Its sub-branding for service 306 has been stripped.
July 2017 Arriva North East This vehicle has received "MAX" branding, with sub-branding for service 306 (Whitley Bay - Tynemouth - North Shields - Coast Road - Newcastle). The combined 'up to every 7 minute' frequency with the "MAX" 308 service is promoted in the branding.
February 2017 Arriva North East Photograph by Following the completion of repaint and refurbishment to "MAX" specification, this vehicle has returned to service at Jesmond Depot.
January 2017 Arriva North East This vehicle has moved from Jesmond to Jesmond (Under Repair), whilst being refurbished and repainted to "MAX" specification. It is thought that "Coastliner" services 306/308 are both being upgraded to "MAX" specification. The existing Volvo B5LH/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 allocation will be retained on service 308, but service 306 will be revised to operate with VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2 vehicles, with the existing "Coastliner" branded Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid allocation deployed elsewhere.
