This vehicle is currently being converted to single-door configuration, as well as being repainted and refurbished to "MAX" specification at Thornton Brothers, Ashington. It is thought that this vehicle, amongst others, will be allocated to Ashington Depot, to upgrade service X20 (Newcastle - Alnwick) to "MAX" specification.
