Following the cascade of "Sapphire" branded vehicles to Jesmond Depot to upgrade "Great North Road Routes" services 43/44/45, this vehicle has been withdrawn from service at Jesmond Depot and subsequently sold.

This vehicle has received "The Great North Road Routes" branding, promoting the combined 7-minute frequency of services 43/44/45 between Newcastle City Centre, Gosforth, Regent Centre and Wideopen. As part of the upgrade, this vehicle has also been fitted with free passenger Wi-Fi.

As part of Nexus' £350m Metro 'all change' modernisation programme, there are no trains running between Tynemouth and Shiremoor in either direction from 19th March until 2nd April, to allow for track replacement work. 8.7 kilometres of 50-year-old-tracks and track beds between Tynemouth and Shiremoor are being replaced so that the new track will last 50 years more. This vehicle has transferred from Ashington Depot to Jesmond, for use on the Metro Replacement bus service.
