Following the end of the seasonal Whitby Park & Ride service, and the resultant PVR reduction, this vehicle has transferred from Whitby Depot to Redcar (in a reserve capacity). It is undergoing conversion prior to assimilation into the Driver Training fleet.

Arriva North East has teamed up with Stagecoach, Northumberland County Council and Cumbria County Council to bring customers a brand new and improved 685 service between Newcastle, Corbridge, Hexham, Haltwhistle, Brampton and Carlisle.
