In order to standardise the Arriva North East and Arriva Yorkshire double-deck fleets, an exchange of Wright Eclipse Geminis is taking place. Arriva North East will lose their Volvo B5 Hybrid vehicles following the end of their Volvo maintenance contract, in exchange for more-familiar VDL DB300 examples. This vehicle has now transferred to the Arriva Yorkshire fleet.

This vehicle has moved from Blyth to Blyth (Under Repair), whilst being refurbished and repainted to "MAX" specification. It is thought that "Coastliner" services 306/308 are both being upgraded to "MAX" specification. The existing Volvo B5LH/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 allocation will be retained on service 308, but service 306 will be revised to operate with VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2 vehicles, with the existing "Coastliner" branded Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid allocation deployed elsewhere.
