This vehicle has been repainted into a plain yellow base livery and has received basic "Bargain Bus" branding. Starting on Monday 25th September 2006; Go North East will introduce a new 'bargain bus' X42 service, operating between Newcastle, Cramlington and Blyth, on a half-hourly frequency. The 'bargain bus' scheme offers basic bus travel: safe, simple and simply great value!

Presently remaining in a plain white base livery, this vehicle has now entered service at Stanley Depot.
November 2015 Go North East
This vehicle has been reinstated at Riverside Depot for use on a free shuttle service which has been provided by Gateshead Council due to Springwell Road being resurfaced on Wednesday 11th November 2015 and Friday 13th November 2015 between 08:00 and 16:00.

Following the entry into service of new Wright Streetlite vehicles on "Saltwell Park" services 53/54, this vehicle has transferred from Gateshead Depot to Washington. Although initially suggested that this vehicle will be used to upgrade "Washington Street Shuttle" services M2/M3; it will instead be used to upgrade "South Tyne" services 88/88A with the DAF... see more

Ahead of the entry into service of new Wright Streetlite vehicles on "Saltwell Park" services 53/54 and this vehicle's consequent cascade from Gateshead Depot, this vehicle has lost its branding for "Saltwell Park" services 53/54.
