September 2020 Go North East Photograph by In line with the re-commencement of scholars services for the 2020/21 academic year; this vehicle has transferred from Percy Main Depot to Deptford, where it, alongside similar 3997 (897 EYX), should be allocated to the staff shuttle service, releasing other vehicles to operate schools duplicates.
July 2020 Go North East Photograph by The seasonal Toon Tour is not yet running, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Despite this; this vehicle has been reinstated at Percy Main, to be used on frontline core commercial work on sunny days, with the aim of creating some happiness and fun during the current pandemic.
June 2020 Go North East From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been re-licensed, but remains out of service.
April 2020 Go North East Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.

June 2019 Go North East Photograph by Prior to entering service; this vehicle has been repainted into a two-tone yellow and blue base livery, with branding expected to be applied for the "Toon Tour" service shortly. The yellow rear aims to stand out from other buses in Newcastle City Centre whilst also providing a synergy with the "Quaylink" Q1/Q2 and Q3 services which also operate in the same areas, while the blue keeps the brand in the new 'house style' albeit with a twist.
May 2019 Go North East Photograph by Following the recent announcement that the Stagecoach operated City Sightseeing tour of Newcastle will not be returning this season, Go North East has decided to launch their own trial operation of a part replacement seasonal open top bus service. As such; this vehicle, which was previously in the East Yorkshire fleet as 884 (794 EYD), has been acquired and numbered 3998 within the Go North East fleet.
