June 2020 Go North East Driver Training buses have been fitted with extra tables and re-deployed at depots as bait buses to allow better social distancing during drivers' breaks. This vehicle has therefore been reinstated at Washington Depot.
April 2020 Go North East Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.
August 2018 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has now received "Join the Team!" branding; which showcases some of the benefits of joining the company and training at the Team GNE Academy, such as free travel benefits, free uniform, and high-street retailer discounts.
May 2018 Go North East Photograph by In order to improve the appearance of the Driver Training fleet, the entire batch of Scania L94s are to undergo repaint. Having previously carried a plain red base livery, this vehicle has now received a plain blue livery. It is intended for the batch to have branding fitted in the future, showcasing some of the benefits of joining "Team GNE" thereby acting as a mobile advertisement for the company's recruitment programme.
March 2017 Go North East Following the completion of modifications at Thornton Brothers, Ashington, this vehicle has returned to service within Riverside's Driver Training fleet.
February 2017 Go North East This vehicle has been withdrawn from service at Deptford Depot and is currently receiving modifications at Thorntons Brothers, Ashington, ahead of impending cascade to the Driver Training fleet.
November 2016 Go North East Following the cascade of Scania CN230UB/Scania Omnicity 5249 (NK56 KHV) from Percy Main Depot to Washington, this vehicle has transferred from Washington Depot to Deptford. At Deptford, it should be allocated to service 9 (Sunderland - North Shields) in line with the operation of the service transferring from Percy Main Depot to Deptford on Sunday 6th November 2016.
May 2016 Go North East Photograph by Originally added to commemorate the company's centenary year in 2013, this vehicle has had its 'Northern' fleet names stripped ahead of the introduction of a new company corporate livery.
