Go North East
This vehicle has been donated to The Oaks Secondary School in Spennymoor. The bus, which is in line to be transformed into an inspirational learning environment, to encourage students with special educational needs from County Durham to read for fun and improve their literacy skills, will be launched early next year. The quirky concept originated from the school’s English teacher, Sara Swales who wanted to update the current library facilities by creating an engaging area for students to focus on reading for leisure. She said: “I realised that if we wanted to really take literacy seriously and help our students, our tiny, bland library wasn’t going to cut it. The idea for the bus snowballed from there and it’s turned out better than I’d hoped.”

Go North East
This vehicle has received "Blue Arrow" branding. There are a number of changes to Go North East's services in the Gateshead and surrounding areas, from 24th July 2016. As part of these changes, services 17 and 96 will be withdrawn and amalgamated into one route (service 11), which will be branded as "Blue Arrow". This new service provides a number of benefits: a faster service to Newcastle from parts of North Tyneside; a new direct service to Newcastle, Gateshead and Metrocentre from areas such as Percy Main, East Howdon and Willington Quay; and a direct bus between Newcastle and Royal Quays.
