Vehicle History

September 2019 Go North East Following earlier withdrawal, this vehicle has now been sold to Ensign Bus Co., Purfleet.
May 2019 Go North East This vehicle has now been withdrawn from service at Percy Main.
May 2019 Go North East In line with service changes and the introduction of new brand identities, there were a large number of vehicle re-allocations which took place on Sunday 19 May, the significance of which have been likened to the South Shields and Bishop Auckland depot closures in 2005 and 2006 respectively. This vehicle, now surplus to requirements, has been moved into a float/reserve position in the fleet at Percy Main.
March 2019 Go North East Following the loss of the 333 and K3 Nexus contracts from 24 March 2019, two minibuses have been released to operate service 19. In turn, this has released this vehicle to become a float/reserve vehicle in the fleet at Percy Main. This vehicle should be allocated to a Nexus Miscellaneous Works contract board, releasing a fleet livery Scania CN230UB/Scania Omnicity to operate one of three early-return boards on the "Coaster" 1 and "Cobalt Clipper" 309/310 services. These temporary allocations are as a result of the "Cobalt Clipper" branded Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs undergoing repaint and internal refurbishment at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn.
April 2016 Go North East As part of service changes effective Sunday 17th April 2016 which will see the former "Cobalt Connect" branded Scania CN230UB/Scania Omnicity vehicles transferring to Washington Depot, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Percy Main, and will be allocated to service 19.
February 2014 Go North East Photograph by Following the closure of Gateshead and Winlaton depots, this vehicle has been transferred to the brand new Riverside Depot. Riverside Depot replaces the existing depots at Sunderland Road in Gateshead and Winlaton which date back to the days of the tramways.
