Just two vehicles are required to operate scholars services from Hexham Depot currently. As the coaches have not yet been fitted with extra PPE for driving colleagues, this vehicle has been reinstated at Hexham Depot, for use on these services.

From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been re-licensed, but remains out of service.

Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.

The inward transfer of Mercedes Citaro 0530N/Mercedes Citaro 5485 (HW07 CXV) from Deptford Depot to Riverside has resulted in the transfer of this vehicle from Riverside Depot to Percy Main. At Percy Main it will remain "Toon Link" branded and will be a spare vehicle for "Coaster" services 1/1A.

In order to improve the customer experience on "Toon Link" services 6, X30/X31 and X70/X71, which all provide links between Newcastle, Stanley and Consett, this vehicle has been fitted with free customer Wi-Fi.
