June 2020 Go North East Photograph by From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been reinstated at Riverside.
April 2020 Go North East Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.
February 2020 Go North East Photograph by Service revisions came into effect from Sunday 26 January which saw revised bus workings at Riverside for operational efficiencies and to improve reliability on service 6. As such, this vehicle has now lost its "Citylink" branding, having been repainted into the 2019 fleet livery.
May 2017 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has received "Citylink" branding, with sub-branding for service 57. The livery design has been slightly revised in line with the new features being available on the bus, and the cant rail has been revised to show the standardised design, with the text showing the words "Buses run early til late • Into the heart of the city up to every 20 minutes".
April 2017 Go North East Photograph by Presently unbranded; this vehicle has returned to service at Riverside Depot, where it will see allocation to "Citylink" service 57.
April 2017 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has returned to Go North East following internal refurbishment and repaint into a plain blue base livery. It is currently undergoing preparation for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot prior to allocation to Riverside Depot. Though intended to be repainted black for "The Blaydon Racer" services 12/12A, Bus & Coach World mistakenly repainted this bus blue instead. As such, to prevent the need for the bus to spend more time out of service, 5282 (NK07 KPT) will instead be repainted black.
March 2017 Go North East Having been temporarily withdrawn from service, this vehicle has now been released for internal refurbished and repaint at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn. The extensive refurbishment work includes, but is not limited to, external repaint; deep cleaning of the interior of the vehicle; renewal of floor coverings; cleaning all seat frames and re-trimming seats into leather with USB sockets on the back of every seat; fitting blue accent lighting underneath seats to provide extra light on the gangway; and fitting Next Stop Announcements.
March 2017 Go North East Prior to being released for internal refurbishment and repaint at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn, this vehicle has been withdrawn from service at Riverside Depot.
February 2017 Go North East Following temporary loan to Washington Depot, this vehicle has returned to service at Riverside.

January 2017 Go North East Prior to impending cascade following the entry into service of new Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid vehicles on "The 49" service 49, this vehicle has been fitted with free customer Wi-Fi.
January 2016 Go North East Photograph by In January 2014; Go North East fitted a white LED destination display to Riverside-based Optare Versa V1170/Optare 5390 (NL63 YAY), as a trial to compare against the standard amber displays. Go North East has now fitted a larger display, with more LEDs, to this vehicle, as a trial to compare against 5390's white 144x19 display. It is a 160x24 display, which is the same size used in the rear of the company's "indiGo" branded Optare Solo SRs delivered in 2015, and similar to the displays used in sister Go-Ahead operating company Brighton & Hove's "Coaster" branded Wright StreetDecks.
December 2015 Go North East To reflect frequency changes to Blaydon following service changes at the end of October 2015, this vehicle's tagline of 'up to every 10 minutes' has been altered to 'up to every 20 minutes'.
November 2014 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has gained a revised version of the "Blaydon Racers" branding. The main change to the branding is the addition of a tagline promoting the 10-minute frequency of the "Blaydon Racers" 49/49B services.
October 2014 Go North East Photograph by As part of a minor re-branding scheme; this vehicle, which previously carried "Blaydon Racers" branding, has been repainted into a plain red base livery.
February 2014 Go North East Photograph by Following the closure of Gateshead and Winlaton depots, this vehicle has been transferred to the brand new Riverside Depot. Riverside Depot replaces the existing depots at Sunderland Road in Gateshead and Winlaton which date back to the days of the tramways.
October 2012 Go North East Photograph by Having been temporarily taken out of service; this vehicle has now been reinstated at Winlaton Depot, to upgrade the "Blaydon Racers" 49 service, allowing the dual-door Wright Renown bodied Volvo B10BLEs currently operating on this service to cascade elsewhere. The vehicle has also been de-branded, so now no longer carries "Red Arrows" branding.
August 2012 Go North East Following the arrival of brand new Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 vehicles entering service on "Red Arrows" service X1, this vehicle has been taken out of service temporarily, pending re-allocation.
November 2009 Go North East Having previously carried "Red Arrows" branding, this vehicle has been repainted into a plain red base livery. The vehicle re-gained "Red Arrows" branding at a later date.
July 2007 Go North East This vehicle has entered service at Washington Depot.
