Following the return from refurbishment of the entire batch of vehicles intended to be allocated to the X84/X85 services, Mercedes Citaro 0530N/Mercedes Citaro 5298 to 5302, this vehicle has now received "Tynedale Express" branding. Adopting a similar design to the recent X9 | X10 brand re-launch, albeit primarily blue in colour to provide the biggest contrast against the orange base colour allowing a bigger impact, the livery intends to promote the fast and direct links between Newcastle and Hexham. The rear design focuses on the express nature of the route; depicting a graphic of a road (reflecting the A69), which is the fastest route between the two locations.
