At Deptford, this vehicle and the others in its batch which were previously allocated to "Wear Tees Xpress" service X7, will be allocated to service 9 (Sunderland - Jarrow - North Shields), displacing some of the Scania L94UB/Wright Solar vehicles currently allocated to the service.

Originally fitted with Icomera free customer Wi-Fi to allow customers on "Wear Tees Xpress" service X7 to surf the web on the go, this vehicle has now had the free Wi-Fi equipment removed. Recent service changes saw this vehicle repainted ahead of being deployed on another service, with the recently acquired former Thames Travel Optare Solo SR M890 vehicles 691 - 694 taking the place of Mercedes Citaros 5333 - 5336 on this corridor, where the free Wi-Fi equipment will instead be allocated to.

To maintain customers' expectation of free Wi-Fi on the new "Wear Xpress" services; this vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Peterlee, where it will be allocated to the "Wear Xpress" X6/X7 services. Pending the delivery of Optare Solo SR M890/Optare 691 (YJ13 HNW) from sister operating company Thames Travel, currently scheduled to arrive in January 2017, this vehicle has retained its free Wi-Fi equipment (unlike the other vehicles previously branded as "Wear Tees Xpress" which had their kits removed).

Following the entry into service of Optare Solo SR M890/Optare 693 (YJ13 HNY) and 694 (YJ13 HNZ) at Peterlee Depot on the new "Wear Xpress" X6/X7 services, this vehicle has transferred from Peterlee Depot to Deptford. At Deptford, this vehicle and the others in its batch which were previously allocated to "Wear Tees Xpress" service X7, it will be allocated to service 9 (Sunderland - Jarrow - North Shields), displacing some of the Scania L94UB/Wright Solar vehicles currently allocated to the service.

Ahead of upcoming service changes which will see "Wear Tees Xpress" service X7 revised to operate between Sunderland and Peterlee only (with the link between Peterlee and Station Town being retained by a revised "indiGo" 202 service and the link between Station Town and Middlesbrough being withdrawn completely), this vehicle has been repainted into Go North East's new corporate livery. The new livery design is a a lot more eye-catching and features a two-tone base livery, with the traditional key colour of red towards the front of the bus, and non-metallic dark blue towards the back. It is thought that further vinyls will be added at a later date, in order to reflect the quality and customer values of Go North East. The revised X7 service, and the new X6 service (Sunderland - Peterlee - Hartlepool), will be allocated former Thames Travel Optare Solo SR M890/Optare vehicles 691 - 694 and branded as "Wear Xpress".
