From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been reinstated at Riverside.

Having previously carried "Tyne Tees Xpress" branding, this vehicle has been repainted into a dark green base livery. As part of ongoing improvements to services on the Tyne Valley, Go North East will re-brand its "TEN" 10/10A/10B/10X services as "Tyne Valley Ten" on a green base livery, moving away from the silver livery which the vehicles allocated to these services have carried since 2008. The new brand is designed to represent the picturesque Tyne Valley corridor and promotes the frequent buses to Metrocentre and Newcastle which the "TEN" group of services provide, up to every 10 minutes. The introduction of new vehicles on "Tyne Tees Xpress" services X9/X10 will see some of the existing Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL allocation cascade to the "TEN" group of services to make up the shortfall of the PVR on the "TEN" group of services (currently allocated fleet livery Volvo B7TLs).

Following the introduction of new vehicles on services X9/X10 (Newcastle - Middlesbrough), this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service. Whilst temporarily withdrawn, this vehicle will undergo repaint as well as internal modifications, which will see the installation of tip-up seats to create a buggy bay, better matching the internal specification of the buses allocated to "Tyne Valley Ten" services 10/10A/10B.

Ahead of the introduction of new vehicles on "Tyne Tees Xpress" services X9/X10, which are due for delivery in August, this vehicle has been fitted with Next Stop Announcements. The entry into service of the new vehicles on the X9/X10 services will allow for the existing allocation on these services to cascade to other routes - either being branded, or acting as spares, for services which have Wi-Fi, Next Stop Announcements and power sockets.
