This vehicle has transferred from Hexham Depot to Riverside, in order to operate services X9/X10 temporarily pending delivery of the Volvo B11RT/Plaxton Elitei interdeck coaches from Oxford Bus Company, with the Volvo B5TL allocation having now been taken out of service.

From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been reinstated at Hexham.

Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.

In partnership with Gateshead Council; this vehicle has received exhaust modifications, increasing the Euro standard of this bus from Euro 5 to Euro 6.

Following the end of the Masters Golf event which saw this vehicle allocated to a special shuttle service to support the event, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Hexham. At Hexham, this vehicle will act as a spare vehicle for "Tyne Valley Ten" services 10/10A/10B/10X, replacing the older Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL currently serving this purpose at the depot.

Following completion of repaint and internal modifications (including fitment of tip-up seats for a buggy bay and fitment of 'Next Stop' audio-visual announcements), this vehicle has been reinstated at Riverside Depot. Though intended to be allocated to Hexham as a replacement for the older Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini vehicles which are allocated to the "TEN" group of services in the event of a branded vehicle being unavailable for service, this vehicle, as well as all of the other former "Tyne Tees Xpress" branded Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 vehicles, will temporarily be retained at Riverside to assist in the coverage of extra vehicle requirements which will see Go North East running an additional service (numbered MG1) to support the Masters Golf event at Close House from Wednesday 27th September until Sunday 1st October.

Following the introduction of new vehicles on services X9/X10 (Newcastle - Middlesbrough), this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service. Whilst temporarily withdrawn, this vehicle will undergo repaint as well as internal modifications, which will see the installation of tip-up seats to create a buggy bay as well as the fitment of 'Next Stop' audio-visual announcements, better matching the internal specification of the buses allocated to "Tyne Valley Ten" services 10/10A/10B.

Following the closure of Gateshead and Winlaton depots, this vehicle has been transferred to the brand new Riverside Depot. Riverside Depot replaces the existing depots at Sunderland Road in Gateshead and Winlaton which date back to the days of the tramways.

This vehicle, which carries a striking maroon base livery with a gold painted 'X' towards the rear of the vehicle, has arrived into the Go North East fleet. It features Wi-Fi and power sockets, and is currently being prepared for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot. Once prepared for service, it is expected to be allocated to Gateshead Depot, for use on services X9/X10 (Newcastle - Middlesbrough).
