Vehicle History

December 2023 Go North East Having sustained defects which are unecomonical to repair, this vehicle has been withdrawn from service ahead of the impending arrival of Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 6211 (LX59 CYZ) at Percy Main, which was due to replace it.
June 2020 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has been reinstated at Riverside, to allow one board on services 26/27 to be converted to double-deck, to allow better social distancing.
June 2020 Go North East From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been re-licensed, but remains out of service.
April 2020 Go North East Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.
March 2020 Go North East Due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, there is falling customer demand and available resources. Therefore, to combat this during these unprecedented times, Go North East has reduced its service levels from Monday 23 March to run enhanced Sunday timetables rather than the full normal weekday output (Sunday service levels, plus some extra morning journeys for key workers, and a small number of contracted school/works services). As such - due to the lower number of vehicles being required at the moment - a number of transfers have taken place to ensure services are operated by the most fuel-efficient, economic and reliable buses. One such transfer is of this vehicle from Percy Main Depot to Riverside, in order to operate scholars services.
July 2018 Go North East Photograph by Following the end of the Sunderland Tall Ships event, this vehicle has returned to service at Percy Main Depot.
July 2018 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has transferred from Percy Main Depot to the Special Events Fleet based at Deptford Terrace, seeing allocation to the Park & Ride services in operation for the Sunderland Tall Ships 2018 event, covering sites at Deptford Terrace, Downhill, Herrington Country Park, Fulwell and Stadium of Light. As this vehicle is fitted with an LED destination display, it is also expected to see use on the Tall Ships internal site shuttle.
July 2017 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has been treated to a partial repaint into Go North East's new corporate livery. The new livery design is a a lot more eye-catching and features a two-tone base livery, with the traditional key colour of red towards the front of the bus, and non-metallic dark blue towards the back. This example carries the tagline "Stay Connected | Many of our buses have free WiFi on board"
January 2017 Go North East Photograph by Following the entry into service of Scania N94UD/East Lancs OmniDekka 6143 (YN04 GKA) at Stanley, this vehicle has transferred from Stanley Depot to Percy Main. At Percy Main; this vehicle will be allocated to services 434 (Bedlington Station - East Sleekburn - North Blyth - Cambois - Stakeford - Ashington Bus Station - Linton) and 448 (Guide Post - Stakeford - Scotland Gate - Bedlington Station), providing a younger and more reliable vehicle on these services.

September 2015 Go North East Photograph by Following the last batch delivered in May, Go North East has acquired two further Scania N94UD/East Lancs OmniDekka vehicles from sister Go-Ahead operating company Brighton & Hove. This vehicle, previously numbered previously numbered 620 within the Brighton & Hove fleet, has now arrived at Saltmeadows Road and is undergoing preparation for service within the Go North East fleet.
