Arriva North East have begun operating some of their scholars duplicate services themselves on a commercial basis, therefore have cancelled some of the Go North East operated runs. As such; this vehicle is now surplus to requirements at Deptford, and has transferred to Riverside Depot, to be allocated to Go North East's own scholars duplicate services operating from Riverside. Should any of the intended coaches for services X9/X10 be off service, this vehicle should be prioritised for allocation to services X9/X10, with the scholars services being allocated a double-deck instead.

In line with the re-commencement of scholars services for the 2020/21 academic year, this vehicle has been reinstated at Deptford Depot. From Monday 7 September 2020, Go North East will be operating some extra duplicate services on behalf of Arriva North East on their services, to aid social distancing around the time of school movements, on their commercial services. Over the next few months there are also a large number of rail replacement opportunities, which this vehicle will be allocated to. Its branding for National Express has therefore been stripped.

Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.

This vehicle has arrived into the Go North East fleet. It is currently being prepared for service at Chester-le-Street Depot, where it will enter service within the company's coaching unit, as part of a process to replace the company's older coaches and provide additional spare vehicles.

Further service changes have taken place due to the reduced demand for bus services as a result of the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. As such, this vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Consett.
