The current "QuayLink" Q1 service from Newcastle Central Station to Gateshead will merge with "The Orbit" branded 51/52 services, and will be re-numbered Q1/Q2. The current "QuayLink" Q2 service from Newcastle Haymarket Bus Station to St Peter's Basin will be merged with "Great Park & Ride" service X40, and will be re-numbered Q3. As such, all of the "QuayLink" and "The Orbit" branded vehicles will be repainted with a fresh coat of yellow and the branding will be revised accordingly. The two former Deptford-based "SimpliCity" branded Optare Versas will also be repainted as part of this scheme and the rise in the combined PVR of the current "The Orbit" and "QuayLink" branded services.
