To support the product launch of new Wright StreetDeck/Wright StreetDeck Micro-Hybrid 3 vehicles on "The Angel" service 21 (Newcastle - Chester-le-Street - Durham), Wrightbus have provided this vehicle to Go North East on temporary four-week loan. As most of the new vehicles destined for "The Angel" have now entered service; it will be allocated to Crook Depot to allow a comparison against their older Wright StreetDecks, while they undergo preparation for annual MOT test, which would have otherwise resulted in the allocation of older vehicles to Crook Depot on temporary loan.

This vehicle has received "Wallsend Links" branding. This brand is being launched in line with service changes effective 30th March 2008. This vehicle, which carries a red base livery, has arrived into the Go North East fleet, and is currently being prepared for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot.
