It is believed that Go North East has ordered five new 'Solo SR' vehicles from Optare, to be deployed on Hexham's "Tynedale Links" network of services. As a consequence; some of the Transbus MPD/Transbus Mini Pointer vehicles currently allocated are due to be withdrawn. To support the product launch of the five new buses at Hexham, Optare has therefore supplied Go North East one of its demonstration models, allocated fleet number 9104. This vehicle will be allocated to Deptford Depot, to provide an additional minibus which meets Euro 5 contractual requirements for services at this depot.
