RE: Go North East - Malarkey - 22 May 2013

I think Go North East are missing a few tricks regarding their stand allocations in Park Lane. So here is how i'd have it.

Most stands remain the same hence why they haven't been included, hopefully after reading it carefully, you'll be able to see and understand the changes I have made.

|-Stand C - 61
|-Stand D - 60
|-Stand G - X7/X35 - Peterlee/Middlesbrough/Hartlepool
----------------------------------------------------------------------
|-Stand M - 56/N56/X36/X3 - Newcastle
|-Stand R - 9/26/26A - Boldon/Jarrow
|-Stand S - 36/36A/135/136 - Town End Farm
|-Stand T - 700 - Clanny House
|-Stand V - 700 - St Peters Campus

RE: Odd Allocations - Dan - 22 May 2013

Perhaps worth mentioning that "Laser" 5307 broke down in Park Lane this morning. Was stuck on the stand the 35/A/B/C uses towards Low Moorsley. Passengers transferred to a 2A/C that arrived just as passengers had departed the 35.

"East Durham" 541 was on the 73 again today.

"Drifter" Cadet 8258 was also on the 60 again (no change there!)

RE: Go North East - Michael - 22 May 2013

That's a good idea having all the services where the locations are the same or round about but with Stand M, the 56 might cause congestion due to it being every 10 mins even though the X3/x36 is half hourly (bettween them).

It is a good idea, I believe if GNE did this earlier passengers numbers on the X3 would be way better than what they are and the service would be more successful in the long run.

As for what you said about the cause for Congestion just been thinking about that.

Taken from the June 2nd 2013 Changes - Timings for a 1 Hour Period, so it appears that there would be 2 buses on stand at the Hour point with 56/X3 departing a minute apart. Not sure if there would be with the 56/X36 as departure times are 3 minutes apart.

56 - 0851
56 - 0903
X3 - 0904
56 - 0913

X36 - 0930

RE: Odd Allocations - Dan - 23 May 2013

628 on 39s again.
"WTX" Renown 4908 broken down on the small road beside the church as you leave Park Lane (at the lights). Buses are having to use the lane as if you were going to turn right rather than left bound for Grangetown. Expect a Deptford vehicle serving on the previous departure from Sunderland.

RE: Go North East - Acky81 - 23 May 2013

WTX buses are a joke. Breaking down too often. I don't think this service will survive at this rate. 39 and 42 services running with spd vehicles today. Red versa on 38 looks smart

RE: Odd Allocations - Malarkey - 23 May 2013

South Tyne Cadet 8251 was on the M2/M3, I got a photo of it but I accidently put my finger in the way as I was in a rush to get to the Jobcentre, so it won't be uploaded. This was at 13:40pm at The Galleries. It was then later replaced by 531 at 14:55 at The Galleries.

From what the drivers were saying, 531 had been on the 88/88A this morning and was later replaced by 8249 and then 531 has came over to Washington to replace 8251 on the M2/M3, With 8251 heading towards South Shields to replace another bus on the 88/88A. Must of been another MPD. TBH I find this extremely odd.

RE: Odd Allocations - Dan - 23 May 2013

Assuming I've worked the timings out correctly in my head without the use of a timetable, 628 was replaced with a Doxford Clipper MPD at some point today.
Board before the one I'm assuming she was on is being operated by a SPD, so if I cocked it up by one duty, then it was replaced with a SPD rather than a branded MPD.

Yellow MPD being used on Deptford Staff Shuttles today.

Haven't seen the red Versa on 38, but it's good to hear that she's doing a mini tour of various Deptford services being a 'spare' now!

RE: Odd Allocations - mattdw92 - 23 May 2013

A lack of Red Arrow B9's today it would seem. B7's were dotted around on the X1 - a rather full 4913 also managed to worm its way on.

One of the B9's is sat in Saltmeadows minus a few panels.

RE: Odd Allocations - Dan - 23 May 2013

Not sure what happened to the allocation of the 39s this evening...

I noted a "Laser" Citaro, "East Durham" MPD working the service. They weren't on earlier, but were this evening.

RE: Odd Allocations - Michael - 24 May 2013

Vyking on 939 this morning

RE: Odd Allocations - Dan - 24 May 2013

(24 May 2013, 5:59 am)Michael Vyking on 939 this morning

I thought a Vyking or President was the daily allocation? For the morning one anyway.
"Drifter" Versa 8308 has heating problems, and as such, has been taken out of service and is waiting for a replacement.
Was due out just under 10 minutes ago, and the driver called for a replacement 35 minutes ago. Still not here.

RE: Go North East - Michael - 24 May 2013

Sorry didnt know the Vyking was a normal working.. never seen it so early on a morning before.

RE: Odd Allocations - Dan - 24 May 2013

Fast Cats Scania on 38. Just left Park Lane.

RE: Go North East - Rapidsnap - 24 May 2013

Just to clarify a few things posted recently.

I believe Dennis Trident 3858 is only off the road for engine repairs and probably will return. Especially since there are still Volvo Olympians in the fleet.

Speaking of Volvo Olympians. 3910 was sold to another operator but the engine went kaput on delivery to Lincolnshire, so the vehicle was returned to GNE and sent straight for scrap.

That is true, from what I was informed on the photo of 3858 itself. Can't remember what I said in the post now, but apologies if I didn't say 'temporarily withdrawn' which may have led to some confusion.

Im guessing 3910 must have been part of the batch which have been painted white and are being fitted with seatbelts down in Lincoln.

RE: Go North East - Dan - 25 May 2013

I posted a photo of 3910 last week. She's at Alpha now, still in the plain yellow livery she was withdrawn in.

In other news, Deptford have managed to cock up an allocation already, and it's only 6am! SimplCity Versa 8321 is on 99s today.
