RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2015 - DanPicken - 30 Aug 2015 (30 Aug 2015, 6:00 pm)R852 PRG Shame. I really like the unrefurbished Tridents at Chester-le-Street. So did I had the Work Eat Smell of Foist one on my scholars once. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2015 - Michael - 30 Aug 2015 (30 Aug 2015, 6:00 pm)Dan It makes sense to get as many Volvo B10BLEs as possible into Riverside Depot from an operational perspective, as this is where the majority are allocated already. I'd imagine that fleet engineers would much rather have a consistent and standardised fleet rather than one of every single vehicle type, as they'll be better equipped to have spare parts (and in turn will be able to get the bus back out on the road quicker), and they'll have a better knowledge of how to repair a specific fault on that vehicle type. It does but not as an enthusiast view means i have to travel to Gateshead etc to ride them RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2015 - DanPicken - 30 Aug 2015 (30 Aug 2015, 6:02 pm)Dan The return of DAF SB120 8273 at Deptford allowed Volvo B10BLE 4842 to be withdrawn. Forgot about 4842. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2015 - Dan - 30 Aug 2015 Stepping in as a forum moderator again... I've had to delete a number of posts, and I'll PM each of you later tonight (or in the morning) with the reasons why. Discussion regarding our moderation is not for public debate, and especially not in this thread, as it has no relevance to Go North East's latest news. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2015 - northern156 - 31 Aug 2015 (30 Aug 2015, 4:07 pm)aureolin I don't think there's much point having one, if you're not getting more than a day ticket. The only benefit of having it on a smart card is that you don't lose your money if you lose your weekly/monthly ticket. (30 Aug 2015, 4:35 pm)GuyParkRoyal The Key will save you money compared with paying cash on the bus but the down side is you need to purchase your day tickets in multiples of three or ten. Spot on, thanks for the info chaps! RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2015 - Michael - 31 Aug 2015 (30 Aug 2015, 5:37 pm)Dan Small update from me... Has anymore changes happened over the weekend? RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2015 - Dan - 31 Aug 2015 (31 Aug 2015, 8:16 pm)Michael Has anymore changes happened over the weekend? Yes, a couple. One involves the transfer of 6039 to Chester-le-Street from Deptford (GuyParkRoyal got a photo of this on service 50A today). Bound to have been a few more. Will make a post in the morning before going for the Metro if I have time.
