RE: Arriva bus changes! - tyresmoke - 23 Oct 2014 Yes I believe that 4812/3/4 all have Mobitec screens, like the 2 Centro's at Stockton. RE: Arriva bus changes! - Jimmi - 24 Oct 2014 CLOSURE OF A174 APPLE ORCHARD BANK FROM 26 OCTOBER 2014 The A174 Marske Lane in Skelton will be closed from Skelton Castle Roundabout to Skelton Beck on Sunday 26 October 2014 for around one week, between 0730 and 1800 each day. During the closure, Services 3, X3/X3A and X5 will be diverted and journey times may be extended. All normal stops will be observed and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. RE: Arriva bus changes! - Jimmi - 24 Oct 2014 On VOSA today: PB0002032/61 - ARRIVA NORTHUMBRIA LTD, 1 ADMIRAL WAY, DOXFORD INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS PARK, SUNDERLAND, SR3 3XP Variation Accepted: Operating between Newcastle and Haydon Bridge given service number 85 effective from 07-Dec-2014. PB0002032/478 - ARRIVA NORTHUMBRIA LTD, 1 ADMIRAL WAY, DOXFORD INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS PARK, SUNDERLAND, SR3 3XP Variation Accepted: Operating between Carlisle and Haltwhistle given service number 185 effective from 07-Dec-2014. RE: Arriva bus changes! - Jimmi - 24 Oct 2014 U1 timetable from Monday 14th December. http://durham.pindarcreative.co.uk/tt2/U1_Arriva_Holidays.pdf RE: Arriva bus changes! - Michael - 25 Oct 2014 All of a sudden the new 21/21A/X21 has got much easier to read http://www.arrivabus.co.uk/globalassets/documents/north-east-services-documents/21-21a-x21-sunderland/neda2121ax21plus-sun-journeyaps.pdf - 21/21A/X21 http://www.arrivabus.co.uk/globalassets/documents/north-east-services-documents/21-21a-x21-sunderland/nedax21_261014revaps.pdf - X21 only It seems the 22/23 and 24 timetable has being removed... looks like they will go the same style as the 21/21A/X21 RE: Arriva bus changes! - tyresmoke - 25 Oct 2014 They look so much better and appear to be produced by the same software that imports the tables into the paper timetables. I know they are in the middle of various transitions to newer software to produce timetables etc, the website ones are terrible in the way they were produced from the XML files. RE: Arriva bus changes! - Michael - 25 Oct 2014 (25 Oct 2014, 10:19 am)tyresmoke They look so much better and appear to be produced by the same software that imports the tables into the paper timetables. I know they are in the middle of various transitions to newer software to produce timetables etc, the website ones are terrible in the way they were produced from the XML files. I agree they look much better and much more easier to read The page for the 21/21A/X21 looks much better to - http://www.arrivabus.co.uk/north-east/services/21-21a-x21---darlington-to-peterlee-21-middlesbrough-to-peterlee-21a-peterlee-to-sunderland-x21/ Re: RE: Arriva bus changes! - Dan - 25 Oct 2014 (25 Oct 2014, 10:27 am)Michael I agree they look much better and much more easier to readThat's a lot clearer and much more user-friendly. On a related note, will the 21 branded EcoCitys be out on the 21 tomorrow or will it be the normal ones? RE: Arriva bus changes! - Jimmi - 25 Oct 2014 It seems the 22/23 and 24 timetable has being removed... looks like they will go the same style as the 21/21A/X21Apart from the 21 no other Darlington timetables are showing up along with the other Peterlee services and Durham service 6. I also think that the new timetables look a lot nicer and easier to read, the other style looked ghastly. On a related note, will the 21 branded EcoCitys be out on the 21 tomorrow or will it be the normal ones?I have no idea, I've been thinking that question all week. We'll just have to see what appears tomorrow. Arriva bus changes! - cbma06 - 25 Oct 2014 It will probably be solos on the 21 tomorrow as there's not enough demand for bigger buses for Sunday's on that route RE: Arriva bus changes! - tyresmoke - 25 Oct 2014 (25 Oct 2014, 12:03 pm)cbma06 It will probably be solos on the 21 tomorrow as there's not enough demand for bigger buses for Sunday's on that route They've been using Ecocities for the last few months on a Sunday to boost the mileage on them, along with 5A/X66 workings... It would make sense to use 21 branded ones tomorrow but we will have to wait and see I guess. RE: Arriva bus changes! - Jimmi - 25 Oct 2014 It will probably be solos on the 21 tomorrow as there's not enough demand for bigger buses for Sunday's on that routeThe 21 plus the 5A/X66 have been using EcoCitys on Sundays for a good few months now. Not sure what will be allocated to the 5A, 19, 26A and X66 now the interworking has changed. RE: Arriva bus changes! - buznut - 25 Oct 2014 If Darlo has pvr of 3 for the 21 will they need an xtra bus for the x21 extension? Will any of stockton's allocated 21a be used on the new x21 section after peterlee? The timetable seems to show darlo,s buses been used behond peterlee .Not sure which depot is running 8.02am leaving peterlee for sunderland? RE: Arriva bus changes! - Dan - 25 Oct 2014 (25 Oct 2014, 12:50 pm)buznut If Darlo has pvr of 3 for the 21 will they need an xtra bus for the x21 extension? VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2 1410 (NK09 BPZ), released from Jesmond following the entry into service of new Streetlite Micro-Hybrid vehicles on service 306, has been transferred to Darlington to make up the fourth vehicle of the PVR. Stockton will operate the 0802 Peterlee - Sunderland (and return) using a Scania OmniCity, working on/off 21As. RE: Arriva bus changes! - Jimmi - 25 Oct 2014 Stockton will operate the 0802 Peterlee - Sunderland (and return) using a Scania OmniCity, working on/off 21As.There is also an extra weekday afternoon journey operated by Belmont depot from Sunderland to Peterlee which will probably run off service 24X from Framwellgate Moor to Easington Village. RE: Arriva bus changes! - Michael - 25 Oct 2014 (25 Oct 2014, 12:54 pm)Dan VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2 1410 (NK09 BPZ), released from Jesmond following the entry into service of new Streetlite Micro-Hybrid vehicles on service 306, has been transferred to Darlington to make up the fourth vehicle of the PVR. Looking forward to seen arriva's version of the gas bus in Sunderland. Gonna have to ride the Streetlite Micro-Hybrids on the 23 to. What will the 22 use? RE: Arriva bus changes! - Jimmi - 25 Oct 2014 What will the 22 use? They say buses that are less than 4 years old. Probably Pulsars like it does now although we'll see how long they keep that promise as they'll probably often end up shoving an 09 reg example out. RE: Arriva bus changes! - tyresmoke - 25 Oct 2014 Durham's sure does run off the 24X RE: Arriva bus changes! - Drifter60 - 26 Oct 2014 (23 Oct 2014, 1:52 pm)Michael NEXUS has updated there bus stop liners to on the site for changes this weekend Going off thread but where do you start with that? 61 branded as Drifter? Obviously it's now SimpliCity. 60 to Parkside Crescent? It goes to Parkside Heathway right to the top turning circle. 39 still branded as Doxford Clipper? If anything it's SimpliCity but technically it's unbranded route. RE: Arriva bus changes! - beefcake - 26 Oct 2014 You could also add that the 23 only goes as far as Victoria Road in Hartlepool, and not the Marina |
