RE: Upcoming Forum Downtime - Dan - 13 Sep 2014

Liam's a bit busy at the moment, so hasn't got time to sort out NEB.
As a temporary measure, he has installed a theme which looks a bit more easy on the eye.

'Simply the best' - gotta love it! Wink

RE: Posting Issues - Dan - 13 Sep 2014

(13 Sep 2014, 8:00 pm)AIG20 I appear to be having issues "quoting" (replying to a post) where the post I'm replying to does not appear in the shaded box when I press the "post reply" button.

I tried the "reply" option next to the "quote" button which does the opposite - showing the post that I'm replying to in the shaded box but not what I've said underneath.

If you wish to quote a post, click 'reply' - this will bring up a new post with the quoted post in a little bubble.

If you wish to quote more than one post, click 'Quote' on all of the appropriate posts.

RE: Posting Issues - S813 FVK - 13 Sep 2014

(13 Sep 2014, 8:20 pm)AIG20 This is what happens when I try to reply to a post, as shown above. Nothing of what I said shows underneath.

If you press reply like dan said this happens. I have also seen your problem demonstrated by a separate user on the forum so its not just you Smile

RE: Posting Issues - Dan - 13 Sep 2014

(13 Sep 2014, 8:27 pm)Robert If you press reply like dan said this happens. I have also seen your problem demonstrated by a separate user on the forum so its not just you Smile

I've removed the option to quote multiple posts...
I'm having no issues with 'replying', so it shouldn't be an issue.

RE: Posting Issues - Andreos1 - 14 Sep 2014

I have tried clicking reply - not everything I type shows up either. Gave up in the end (probably to the relief of some Wink )

I can't work out why you're having issues.
I'm certainly having none and it doesn't look like aureolin or Robert are either, judging by their recent posts when they've quoted others.

RE: Posting Issues - Andreos1 - 14 Sep 2014

(14 Sep 2014, 9:15 am)AIG20 This is what happens to mine. The reply box is where I've typed in my information, and the preview bit is the result - nothing of what I've typed in has appeared. At least I'm not the only one having issues. Smile

RE: Posting Issues - Andreos1 - 14 Sep 2014

Hahaha, just tried replying to you aig20 - and got that.

RE: Posting Issues - Dan - 14 Sep 2014

I get the picture.. Tongue

I'll make sure Liam reads through this thread to see if it's anything he can sort out...

RE: Posting Issues - S813 FVK - 14 Sep 2014

Just had a bit of trouble (couldnt log in) but this has now been resolved. It was the cookies rather than the forum itself.

RE: Posting Issues - Dan - 15 Sep 2014

(15 Sep 2014, 4:03 pm)AIG20 I am currently using Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer 11, which I was using previously, and the posting issue has now been resolved.

Horray!!! Big Grin

Ah, interesting...
I'm using Chrome and have had no issues, which suggests that IE11 doesn't like myBB 1.8.

Liam hasn't done anything at all to the site yet, as he hasn't even read my message on Facebook. Tongue

The current style is only temporary. We encountered a few issues when upgrading the forum to myBB 1.8 from myBB 1.6, and Liam has been awfully busy with educational and work commitments, and has consequently been unable to fix the issues we've encountered upon upgrading.

Do accept my most sincere apologies, and we hope that NEB will be back to normal in due course.
