(14 Oct 2015, 12:21 pm)dannygee I see Percy mains 5151 & 5166 haven't been updated to the new destinations

These vehicles were VOR when the rest were updated, so couldn't be touched. As they're now back on the road, they should be updated soon.

Which is funny because I have no reports in my feed of anything other than normal rush hour heavy traffic.

you should be our traffic advisor i was thinking could make a joint page called NEB Traffic Page letting people know any rush hour traffic rush eg delays to bus service and metro services plus other transport we would have to arrange a schedule and plans on here and Bobs your Uncle (I do have an uncle Bob)

Along with 5291 (as stated on fleet news page):

Anyway, a new profile picture for Citaro5284: https://www.flickr.com/photos/nebp2/22006945500/

Think he may want to leave it until it gets fully branded though.

Its top speed is 0.02mph less than a Volvo B9 - its delay must be related to the vehicle!!!

Those 0.02mph must make all the difference from running on-time to running late

Seriously though, what is the top speed of this? Will try and get myself a ride on this in the next few days and I will report back with how I feel it actually performs on the route.

Volvo B9 has a top speed of 55.92mph, and the StreetDeck (now) has a top speed of 55.9mph. Over the course of an hour and a half, this would equate to a difference of about 50 metres if I've done the maths correctly?

Obviously the rate of acceleration will differ, but I can't see that being the result of the StreetDeck being 20 minutes late (especially when he only lost 4 minutes on the southbound trip).

He arrived on Pilgrim Street about 1702 and left at 1704. However, I have heard reports of an accident on the A66 around Middlesbrough so depends when that happened.

..and it was 17:10 by the time he arrived at Eldon Square - voila, we arrive at the 20 minutes late figure I gave above!  Wink

To be fair, the Streetdeck if mechanically able to cope well with constant high speeds and high temperatures, shouldn't have too much trouble on the TTX. Would be interesting to see how it would cope if Riverside rested 6084 or a B7TL on the TEN even though it would most unlikely not get upto Hexham on the full TEN for various reasons.
