Ive got A320's both ways RE: British Airways - NK53 TKT - 25 Jan 2017 (25 Jan 2017, 4:12 pm)South Tyne Lad Flight to Tampa leaves Gatwick at 11:20, The first Orlando flight leaves around 11:40 if I remember correctly, The second Orlando flight is due out at 13:45 if I remember right. A bit tight then because that means if BA1321 is late you may miss the Tampa flight, mine leaves at 10:20 and is Thomson so we are staying overnight and getting the train down RE: British Airways - South Tyne Lad - 25 Jan 2017 (25 Jan 2017, 6:40 pm)NK53 TKT A bit tight then because that means if BA1321 is late you may miss the Tampa flight, mine leaves at 10:20 and is Thomson so we are staying overnight and getting the train down Shouldn't be expecting it to be late departing, As it's the same aircraft that stables in Newcastle for the night after arriving from the last Heathrow flight, So has quite a few hours spare to be checked over for faults than it normally would. Me and my Dad would've happily travelled down the night before and stayed in Gatwick but my Mam and Sister would prefer to do everything in one go, As they'd rather be in Florida than waiting around Gatwick! Are you leaving on the same day? RE: British Airways - 8222 - 12 Apr 2017 Hi all, I'm looking to fly to Moscow in the summer for a few days with BA. I know BA send their ex-BMI birds and 777/747 long haul fleet to DME. When looking at the prices, it's coming up 'world traveller' - does anyone know if I'll get food? I know it's definitely different to the LED/Europe flights but not sure if they have changed this. Exactly, I am off in two weeks to London for Bank Holiday weekend RE: British Airways - 8222 - 16 Apr 2017 (14 Apr 2017, 4:31 pm)NK53 TKT Exactly, I am off in two weeks to London for Bank Holiday weekend Very nice. I've got trips to Madrid, Phoenix, Dallas and St Petersburg planned. RE: British Airways - Andreos1 - 12 May 2017 BA are offering kids fly free deals at the moment. Worth looking at if you have kids. Or, suggest it to the folks if you are one. RE: British Airways - 8222 - 30 May 2017 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-40083778 What's everyone's view on Alex Cruz? I personally hope he is forced out of BA ops and back to Vueling/Level as I feel he has destroyed the morale of the airline with mixed fleet strikes and having to pay for food - something that may seem trivial but if I'm paying the premium to fly from LCY and fares that are still as much as they were two years ago from LHR, I expect a decent service. I have noted service and customer care levels plummet over the past 2 years of flying British Airways and morale amongst cabin staff seems low. I'm not impressed with him and hope he is forced to leave. Let's see what happens. RE: British Airways - 8222 - 30 Jul 2017 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCoQwZ9BQ9Q New safety demo. Glad the proper Flower Duet is back! Although I'll miss how cheesy the outgoing demo is... I decided to stop for a few days in Madrid to break up the journey on the way back during the middle of the Mixed Fleet strike. I was flying back on BA459 when I noticed my aircraft changed to a 757 - which I thought was strange as BA have no 757s in their fleet. Turned out I'd be flying on Titan Airways. When I checked in online, they upgraded me to Club Europe, too, with no warning. I got to Barajas and there was an apology letter on the check in desks for customers on my flight - saying that it would be operated by Titan and that they'd have the same levels of standards etc. I pondered this in the Iberia lounge. When I boarded the 757, it was really beautiful inside. Legroom was stunning and the cabin staff bringing drinks before take off. I was speaking to the cabin staff who said the aircraft gets charted by people and the likes of the Queen had flown on it (G-POWH) and that it often goes to extremely remote places around the world. The service was far better than BA; all customers got food (albeit that it was limited as someone had a severe nut allergy) as they couldn't operate the M&S buy onboard programme. Obviously our drink selection in Club Europe was better (with alcohol!) than Euro Traveller. I wasn't sure about flying with Titan when it first came up; but what an absolute treat it turned out to be. RE: British Airways - 8222 - 04 Aug 2018 Hello all, In MEX right now with work having flown on yesterday's BA243. Firstly - it has changed to a 787-9 from my beloved 744. I do approve of the 787-9; but it is SO narrow if you get an exit row seat in World Traveller. However, the safety video has now changed! Here is the new one here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQ9Xpzi4qkU I found it far funnier than last year's! RE: British Airways - 8222 - 01 Feb 2019 https://twitter.com/British_Airways/status/1091297682528837632 Happy birthday, BA. RE: British Airways - 8222 - 10 Feb 2019 Continuing on the BA100 / 747 50th birthday, BA are suspected to be releasing 4 retro jets soon. Keep your eyes peeled! RE: British Airways - 8222 - 15 Feb 2019 The first glimpse of one of the retrojects: https://i.ibb.co/pfhNSGk/AE5372-EA-8-B48-46-CC-AE22-B1205-E96-F63-A.jpg |
