Which depot operates the 11 service on an Evening and Sundays between Metro Centre and Lobley Hill - Is this Riverside?

During these times the route looks split to only run Metro Centre to Lobley Hill and also Whitley Bay to Wallsend Metro, leaving the middle section between Wallsend and Lobley Hill without service.

If Riverside do operate this part of the route at an evening or on a Sunday, do they have a branded vehicle or is it allocated a corporate livery vehicle?

Usually a Green Arrow on a Sunday but not sure about evenings.

(28 Nov 2016, 2:35 pm)RBZ 5459 It'll be all the Scanias that are listed as Euro 5 on the fleet list which will have had that particular Eminox work done. Physically, it's anything that has the small extra grill next to the engine/radiator grill on the N/S. Think 4949 is the exception to this as it received a brand new Euro 5 engine after its fire.

Some of the other more elderly ones have been up'd to just to Euro 4 in the past, but that will just be the simpler mod/traps GNE have done on their terms without funding.

The DC9 Engine fitted to the L94UBs isn't available in Euro 5 format, So the new engine will have arrived in its standard Euro 2/3 Configuration ( Euro 3 on these models ) before receiving the Eminox Mods once inside the Engine bay.

It did receive the extra grill as found on the others, Aswell as a additional small grill underneath the main grill, Which extends all the way down to the bottom of the body.

(28 Nov 2016, 1:52 pm)Chris Maybe the radio is linked somehow to the panic alarm?

Sorry, missed this earlier.
It may do. I have no idea if it is.

Would it work in areas where reception/signal is poor? Just as an example, the dip at Leazes Bowl has a terrible effect on the radios and that isn't too far from control. It isn't too exposed fortunately, unlike some of the far flung reaches of the A19.

RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2016 - Michael - 28 Nov 2016

5334 is now in the new GNE livery.

IME, it's the Gilesgate roundabout that loses signal, particularly anticlockwise from Claypath, while the Leazes bowl is pretty consistent. Might be different for radio than phone, mind.

And yes, the mercs would suit the waggonway - similar demands to the diamonds.

RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2016 - Ryan99 - 28 Nov 2016

Dunno if said but 5333-6 will be all repainted into new livery and remain at deptford to release 4961-4 to Percy paint to get the last few b10s gone.

Was contemplating if there was an actual E5 option or it was slightly different Scania lump in it as I made my post, so thanks for that!

Citaros must be one of the few single deck buses from the GNE fleet not to be on the 28s/728/709/733. At least I can't remember even a rare odd working!

Ye, don't think it'll happen anytime soon too, Chester have no Citaro's so i don't think they'll get any because of Depot standisation.

As much as I dislike them, the red Streetlite spares do a fine job on the 28s. I doubt it's profitable enough for any upgrade.

I'd probably radically rework the route anyway , but that's another thread!

I take it someone isn't happy with the X7 changes...

RE X7 NOW NOT SERVING WINGATE AREAS, WHY NOT REROUTE X9 TO COVER THIS AS YOU HAVE TWO SERVICES JUST GOING STRAIGHT DOWN A19. KEEP X10 AS FAST EXPRESS TO BORO, AND X9 AS THE SLOWER STAND ALONE EXPRESS. ANYONE GOING END TO END WILL KNOW THE X10 WILL BE QUICKEST,AND ALL THOSE PASENGERS THAT ARE BEING DISGARDED NOW x7 IS WITHDRAWING FROM WINGATE, WILL HAVE GOOD REASON TO CONTINUE USING GNE CONNECTION TO BOROUGH.

Nothing wrong with passengers boarding service 202 and get the X9 or X10 from peterlee.
