(15 Dec 2017, 7:01 pm)Michael Has the brand changed much?

Photo below.

Sits really well on the Gemini, in my opinion. Pity about the advert frames which will cover much of the branding at the top, but I'm led to believe that only half of them are planned to receive the frames (like Red Arrows).

Nice to see the green credentials being pushed too. The 'ELECTRIC HYBRID' above the brand name is subtle but works, and the design of the leaf with the electric bolt inside of it is a really clever idea. It seems to be a common theme around the Go-Ahead Group, with Brighton & Hove's latest batch of StreetDecks featuring the tagline above the upper-deck windows "low-emission bus" and Oxford Bus Company heavily promoting the Hybrids in their various brands.

Looks great - will they have NSAs?

RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - December 2017 - Dan - 16 Dec 2017

(16 Dec 2017, 8:56 am)Tom Looks great - will they have NSAs?

They should be done in time for them entering service at Percy Main, yes.

The speakers are all being repaired while at Saltmeadows Road for repaint and branding too, following feedback from customers that a number aren't working.

RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - December 2017 - Dan - 16 Dec 2017

(15 Dec 2017, 11:36 am)Dans_bus_photos Following the recent pattern of the Merc's going for refurb id have thought this week would have been the last ones being sent away. However 5309 is still in service today

5306 sent for refurbishment on 12/12/2017 (following delivery of 5338), and 5308 sent for refurbishment yesterday (following delivery of 5324).

5309 will be the last example sent for refurbishment next week, when the next example returns.

RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - December 2017 - Michael - 16 Dec 2017

(16 Dec 2017, 8:23 am)Dan Received the "35 million miles" tagline yesterday, for anyone keeping tabs on that.

It is planned to return to service at Washington on Monday.

RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2017 - Dan - 16 Dec 2017

(01 Dec 2017, 4:26 pm)S813 FVK I'm guessing its 642 from the news, but the Solo SR on the T1/T2 today did not have Venture branding.

Something I have also noticed is that 6127 and 6138 have both had their side destinations lowered to the bottom half of the window as per 6141 and 6142. Is this planned for all other Omnidekkas or just those 2 for whatever reason?

642 branded 08/12/2017 and news updated accordingly.

The side destinations on 6141/42 were lowered a while back following driver feedback to Washington Depot's union, which was that the larger destination can provide a blackspot for the driver's view when turning corners.

Following the transfer of the pair to Stanley, drivers there voiced their preference of the destination placement on 6141/42 to the rest of the batch, so work is underway to move the display on all of Stanley's examples too.

Think you're the first to suggest that they've gone quickly!

The programme started at the very start of January, so it's taken a year to refurbish all 64 Mercedes Citaros.

RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - December 2017 - Michael - 16 Dec 2017

5251 will also go on Fleet Livery on Monday, the same as 5252.

I tell a lie - start of February - following the entry into service of the first few Streetlites on the 49.

Either way quite a long time! Agree that the year has gone over quite quickly though.

Would January not be right? 5284-5291 were the first ones to go and the Durham diamond Streetlites entered service first?

5232 has the 'Never Miss Your Stop' tagline: https://www.flickr.com/photos/bazza90/25120019628/in/dateposted/

Also, has a decision been made as to whether the Angel Streetdecks will gain the feature symbols on the sides yet?

Probables will be, we could see a lot of Scania's withdrawn if its true that some of the Toonlink Omnicities will be replaced by Gemini's.

Whats the PVR of the 19?
