RE: London Bus Operations - Michael - 06 Jul 2014 (06 Jul 2014, 10:35 am)AIG20 "Cash can no longer be used on any of London's buses in a move that Transport for London (TfL) says will save £24m a year." Should work well within London RE: London Bus Operations - Adrian - 06 Jul 2014 (06 Jul 2014, 10:40 am)Michael Should work well within London It will, because the technology is there to support such a move. Most of your travellers in London will have either a Oyster card or an ENCTS pass. Those there for a day trip will normally pay for a day ticket as part of their rail tickets. In the rare occasion anyone won't have either of the three, then they can pay by contactless payment from a debit/credit card. RE: London Bus Operations - Dan - 18 Jul 2014 LT2 has gone green... https://flic.kr/p/onEB6Z RE: London Bus Operations - Malarkey - 23 Jul 2014 (18 Jul 2014, 5:29 pm)Dan LT2 has gone green... In an update to that, It has been Painted Green for Demonstration Purposes at First Leeds, No doubt this is to do with proposed plan for a "New Bus For Leeds", instead of a Trolleybuses which was suggested by West Yorkshire PTE. LT2 has since arrived at Leeds Hunslet Park Depot https://www.flickr.com/photos/rods-snaps/14725145605/ Photo By Flickr User: Rod Whitaker West Yorkshire PTE's Trolleybus suggestion would cost £250,000,000 to Implement, and they'd like up and running by 2019, where First Leeds would prefer to Purchase NB4L's at a of £354,500 each, Resulting in an Overall cost of £70,900,000 for 200 Vehicles, Saving £170,100,000 Overall, and it could be implemented a lot sooner than the Trolleybuses. RE: London Bus Operations - R852 PRG - 30 Nov 2014 It seems Stagecoach has their own Royal British Legion 'poppy bus'... https://www.flickr.com/photos/46341292@N05/15585656445/in/photolist-pKfyEz-psCTWR-oL2vuU-pLRG9w-pHad7U-pK59Se-pqoxRH-pqr3Sy-pQpmxc-pGXkwo-pd3jSc-pSmNMc Looks quite interesting on the Borismaster!
