TM Travel are in the process of acquiring 6 Scania OmniDekkas from Metrobus - the first to arrive is YN56FDV with the other 5 due to arrive during March. They will replace the remaining Olympians with the operation.

As for the ex-36 Geminis, WYIS now lists 3601-7 for transfer to Lancashire United for the X41 (Blackburn-Manchester) replacing slightly newer sisters ex-Coastliner and Burnley Witch Way which may make their way to Keighley. 3608-12 are the examples destined for the 'CityZap' service.

In other news, Transdev York have introduced a new 'TadFaster' service between York and Tadcaster, initially funded by North Yorkshire County Council for the first 12 weeks and giving the east side of Tadcaster a bus service following the bridge collaspe during the Winter Storms. As such, Coastliner B10BLE 1015 (YD02 UMX) has moved back to York from Malton to operate the service.

As such, Harrogate's B7TL 2764 (PO55 PYL) has returned to Malton following its loan during the Summer 2015 season to fill in the gap until the start of the summer 2016 timetable and the arrival of the 11 new B5TLs.

It should also be mentioned that the present 'Transdev in Keighley' and 'Harrogate Connect' fleetnames are to be replaced in the forthcoming months by new 'The Keighley Bus Company' and 'The Harrogate Bus Company' ones.

And further details thanks to Phil Stockley:
  • All 6 have already been converted to single door prior to delivery
  • YN56FDV and 2 others will be entering service more-or-less upon completion of delivery checks in as-delivery condition due to a decker shortage following the withdrawl of a number of Olympians due to chassis corrosion (a common fault with Volvo Olympians)
  • The other 3 will be repainted prior to entering service (and possibly also treated to a re-trim)
  • These 3 will then swap with the other 3 to allow them to be repainted
  • Solo SR 506-8 and Solos 1194/1202 are to be branded for 'Line 6' very shortly

Yorkshire Tiger have appointed Simon Finnie as their new Managing Director, formerly Head of Operations at Arriva Buses Wales. He replaces Thierry Couturier who it appears was only an interim appointment.

EYMS have taken delivery of a new Plaxton Panther bodied Volvo B11R in the form of 93 (YX16 NWC).

Volvo B12B/Plaxton Panther 57 (YX55 FVC, A7 EYC) and Volvo B12B/Caetano Levante 61 (YX07 HJC, A1 EYD) have reverted to their original registrations and have been sold. A7EYC is now on Mercedes 516CDi 21 (LK64 ATZ).

Due soon are a further 4 Volvo B8RLE/MCV Evolution numbered 392-5 (BU16 OYE/F/G/H).

Transdev
Former 36-branded Volvo B7TL 3604 (X4 VTD) is now in a red/blue version of the new style Transdev livery prior to transfer to Blackburn.

Sticking with the Cityzap, a launch event was held in York today to promote the services, 3608 and 3609 were used in the event as shown here (they were still setting up when I took this photo, hence the boxes).

I believe that there will be an event in Leeds tomorrow.

Also, as you may have noticed 3608 is now registered as YL51 ZAP and 3609 is now registered as YL02 ZAP.
