A new request for tenders on the new terms has been issued the contract start date is still 24/3/19. Anymore info on these contracts starting in March? Also all day services such as 37, 73, 558 etc. Thanks Wonder if Go North East will go for all of them, they would fit nicely in their network. Any updates on the other services up for tender? RE: Tender Discussion Thread - Michael - 09 Feb 2019 (18 Aug 2018, 9:50 am)GuyParkRoyal Newcastle Hospitals NHS Trust have issued an invitation to tender for bus services available to staff and the public. Did anymore come of this?, heard nothing about it all. RE: Tender Discussion Thread - S830OFT - 09 Feb 2019 Is there a reason why PCL only operate contracts for NCC and not Nexus? RE: Tender Discussion Thread - GuyParkRoyal - 11 Feb 2019 (07 Feb 2019, 7:12 pm)Tom Any updates on the other services up for tender? Phoenix have now withdrawn their registration to operate the new contract for the 32A, M71 and W3.
RE: Tender Discussion Thread - OrangeArrow49 - 19 Feb 2019 (11 Feb 2019, 8:13 am)GuyParkRoyal Phoenix have now withdrawn their registration to operate the new contract for the 32A, M71 and W3. Why? I noticed recently they had withdrawn their registration to operate the 32A from 24th March. Gateshead Central Taxis will now operate it, but I guess Phoenix was first choice but they have withdrawn? Any idea when the 74 and 84/84A will come up for tender with Northumberland County Council and Nexus? Thanks. RE: Tender Discussion Thread - Dan - 19 Feb 2019 (19 Feb 2019, 5:43 pm)OrangeArrow49 Why? I noticed recently they had withdrawn their registration to operate the 32A from 24th March. Gateshead Central Taxis will now operate it, but I guess Phoenix was first choice but they have withdrawn? Phoenix had the cheapest bid. After being awarded the contract, they withdrew their tender application during the 'cooling off' period and the contracts were awarded to the next cheapest operator (Gateshead Central Taxis). RE: Tender Discussion Thread - OrangeArrow49 - 19 Feb 2019 (19 Feb 2019, 5:48 pm)Dan Phoenix had the cheapest bid. Thank you. Seems odd they would decide to withdraw their application when they won the contracts. Does that usually happen? When did Nexus award the 32A to Phoenix and GCT? I only read on here recently GNE lost the service. Hopefully GCT will do a good job of their new services. I have never used them before. RE: Tender Discussion Thread - Michael - 03 Mar 2019 (17 Jan 2019, 8:32 am)GuyParkRoyal Nexus have issued an invitation to tender for secured services in Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland. The minimum standard is Euro 5 low floor PSVAR compliant vehicles with a capacity of 16, 23 or 36. Closing date for tenders is 18th February with a contract start date of 19th May 2019. Any news on these tenders? RE: Tender Discussion Thread - omnicity4659 - 13 Mar 2019 (09 Feb 2019, 4:22 pm)S830OFT Is there a reason why PCL only operate contracts for NCC and not Nexus? Because Nexus specify standards in the service. The main one being the bus actually turning up. RE: Tender Discussion Thread - GuyParkRoyal - 15 Mar 2019 Nexus have issued the invitation to tender for services 792, 794 & 939 with a contract start in September 2019. |
