(31 Mar 2015, 3:25 pm)Dan wrote There have been no further arrivals at Saltmeadows for repaint, but 6030 was receiving corporate livery vinyls today in the paintshop, so it should be returning to Percy Main shortly. 557 is fully branded for the AD122 now - it was having its re-trimmed seats fitted again today, while also receiving interior branding (disabled bay vinyls etc). I can confirm that each "X66" branded vehicle features a different coloured gnome on the front.

4845 (R845 PRG) was not present at Saltmeadows Road today so has presumably been sold, but this will be confirmed in Go North East's fleet news next week. 4950-52 and 8293 are still in storage at Saltmeadows.

Today's arrivals included the first two green Streetlites which are to be allocated to Chester-le-Street for services 8/78. These are 5402 (NK15 ENP) and 5405 (NK15 ENU).
4845 is at Riverside, in the vor line.  It is minus it's led destination displays.

I believe the LEDs will be donated to 4954 at Deptford, as it's the only vehicle allocated to the "Prince Bishops" services without LEDs.

(30 Mar 2015, 10:11 pm)northern156 wrote The AD122 this season - I notice it serves Haltwhistle and Walltown but only in one order. I'm guessing it goes from Halty Rail Station down the A69 to Greenhead where it serves the village, turns right and then heads up the Military Road as normal.
Please can someone shed some light on this if they know any more? I'm going to get a few shots of it on Good Friday. Smile

The printed version of the timtable has a colour code for that part of the route and you are correct with your assumption. The route appears to be a circle Milecastle Inn to Milecastle Inn. So from Hexham it will be Milecastle Inn, Haltwhistle Market, Railway Station, Greenhead Hotel, Walltown, Milecastle Inn then towards Hexham.

I gather 4940 will get the same treatment then with that been the only highwayman with flipdots still

Going back to the gold Citaro's, i think they'll go for repaint soon, as the gold seems to be a problem on the Citaro's......... i hope they go red and are branded "Laser" again......

Red bus with Laser in black and the routes on the side in white.......

Also what is currently on the X66 again, was it a Citaro and 2 B10's?

Ooo Friend, Bus Friend.

Ah, but if he fell for the fool after midday does it still count?

A tricky one which could be debated either way.  Sleepy

I'd personally say that since the trap was laid before midday, anybody who falls into it regardless of the day counts. What about anybody else?

I'd agree normally, however Dan decided to use the words 'April Fool' after midday which arguably places him in position as the 'fool'.

Remember the rhyme: 'April Fools has been and gone - you're the fool and I am none'.

Anyone know which font was used for the lettering on the Driver Training Vehicles, decided to start doing Paper Buses again and thought I would start with these as they are pretty simple to do.

Not sure if anyone will know, as it is a bit of an odd request (service wise), but on the off chance:

Tomorrow I'll need to get the 19 from Cramlington to Bedlington (and back) any idea on what ticket I'm best off with? Cheers ?

Was just wondering whether it would be better off to buy a return or day ticket Smile

Generally the return is cheaper than the day ticket.

A day ticket would be £6.20 I think, so yeah I'd recommend getting a return.

The return will probably be cheaper by about 40p than the comparable day ticket - that's usually the case.

Just ask the driver when you board what the best ticket is to get, but if you're only making the journey there and back, s/he'll probably just say a return.
