Everyone likes a bit of modernisation, Tommy .
To give them credit, it's not as much of a building site I thought it would be!
We are running a frequent service with trains running to all destinations but not to the usual timetable. This is due to low rail adhesion.

Theatre goers at the Sunderland Empire are entitled to free metro travel before and after their show.
(04 Nov 2015, 4:05 pm)Dan On 4009 at the moment, and the old buzzer sound for doors closing is now in use again, in addition to the new buzzer sound.
Will add a recording when I get home as the mobile version of the forum still doesn't allow for attachments to be added.

(04 Nov 2015, 4:18 pm)Dan Well I was on 4009 but it has developed an electrical fault so has had to be withdrawn from service - smells like a school Chemistry experiment gone wrong!
4018 was the other Metrocar paired to it.
(04 Nov 2015, 4:25 pm)Michael Hahahahaha unlucky!
How far are you from your stop?

Dan lucky to get home...
(04 Nov 2015, 4:28 pm)Dan We got turfed at Brockley Whins, so just East Boldon and Seaburn before my stop. Apparently smoke was bellowing into the other Metrocar?
The new style of "doors closing" sounds was increasing the time it took to get moving after each stop though, resulting in a delay of about 10 minutes, so the next Metro was only at the station behind us.
Took double the time it usually takes to get home tonight. Happens every time I make the mistake of not sticking to my 7am - 3pm shift...

(04 Nov 2015, 7:21 pm)Michael Jesus, honestly proper shit service.
Nexus, which manages the Tyne and Wear Metro, said there were no servcices between Heworth and Hebburn/Brockley Whins due to a failed train at around 5.50pm
A spokesman for Nexus said that Go North East was accepting Metro tickets on bus services five, nine and 27.
Why the 9 though, it doesn't service anywhere between those area's i think...
