Tyne and Wear Metro
There are no trains running between Wallsend and North Shields in both directions until further notice. This is due to a vehicle hitting a Metro bridge. Go North East are accepting Metro tickets in the affected area. Bus services 1 operate between Wallsend and North Shields. We will update you as soon as we have more information.

Pallion is closed and trains will not be stopping at this station until further notice. This is due to a problem with the power supply. We will update you once we have more information.

There are delays of up to 25 mins to trains running between Hadrian Road and The Coast due to an ambulance attending. Please leave extra time for your journey.
There are delays of up to 25 mins between Monument and South Shields , up to 25 mins between South Shields and Pelaw, this is due to a failed train.

Husband is only 2 years older than 4001 and 4002, it turns out! (I was at school when they were built. I'm old!)
(17 May 2016, 8:31 pm)South Tyne Lad Yes in the 1980s, I believe that was the metrocar that crashed into a bus at Kingston Park in the 1980s, but nothings come off the rails recently from what I can gather.

" 4083 is on one of the outside stabling roads with its pantograph up. All of the windows looks like they have been replaced so there is no vinyl on them anymore, whether its any closer to returning to service or not who knows. "
