(22 Jan 2018, 11:24 pm)Driver9*** It was withdrawn because some drivers were refusing to drive it. The suspension was shot and it swayed badly at speed as well as the brakes (which had always been iffy on this bus) being very poor. No matter, Arriva certainly got their money's worth out of it, just like they are with the 15 year old ex London buses such as 7410, 7485 etc.

(22 Jan 2018, 10:07 pm)mb134 I was on a few of the X21/22 MMCs over the Christmas break, and I noticed that if I rang the bell, it would ring 3-4 times from one press of the button. I've noticed similar things on the E200MMCs First have up here, is this a new introduction, or have these examples been due to a loose wire?

(22 Jan 2018, 11:30 pm)mb134 Shame, still seemed to want to shift when I caught up with it in the summer.
Those ex London Geminis must be on their last legs now too to be honest. I was driving into Bedlington behind one on the 43 last month, and it barely made it up the hill. I was doing less than 5mph and still closing the gap.

(25 Jan 2018, 11:17 am)Kuyoyo And, to my knowledge, 4506 was never officially renumbered here and indeed is still 4506 even with Yorkshire.

(25 Jan 2018, 1:35 pm)V514DFT was that to replace my bus,4514
(25 Jan 2018, 2:43 pm)RBZ 5459 4514 was withdrawn from Yorkshire service at a similar time that 4506 joined their training fleet, so very possible a replacement for going forward into the training school yes.

(25 Jan 2018, 8:08 pm)GNE6312 Wonder if its ok to have an optare solo with a dinted engine flap where the rear advertisement board is because that was what 2810 was like it also gad a wobly bit under where the front wheel is.

Whilst discussing the fate of the B10BLEs, would I be right in thinking that 4513 (V513DFT) and 4515 (V515DFT), showing on the Fleetlist as Redcar and Redcar (Disposal) repectively, have in fact already left the fleet and are now working for Mortons near Basingstoke, re-registered as R26RED and R27RED? (Supposition based on rummaging the Internet, so potentially subject to errors and misreporting!)

(26 Jan 2018, 9:16 pm)Dan MAX X93 Volvo B9TL 7405 had a Next Stop Announcement system fitted yesterday while VOR for MOT.

(26 Jan 2018, 9:44 pm)RobinHood I believe the kit came from funding via NYCC last year that awarded enough to do 4 out of 6 branded vehicles. Only one was fitted to date due to an issue with the upper saloon mounting bracket. This has now been solved so the rest will be fitted imminently.
Apparently 7609 and 7610 will be stripped from the X12 to become the new Whitby Park and Ride buses...
