(16 Jul 2018, 4:58 pm)Andreos1 Issues on 6314? Parked up in a layby on the A19 about half an hour back.
Just short of Peterlee northbound. Passengers on grass verge and others still aboard.

Forgot to follow-up on this.
It appeared to vanish in to thin air and didn't pick up passengers in Peterlee as scheduled.
Apparently the following X10 was diverted.

No - it's until the new Solos for the Durham County Council contracts are delivered, allowing two of the current 'baby Solos' to transfer to Washington to operate the 23.

I believe that these 'City of Culture' titles are awarded to places that need 'lifting' - investment follows the award to rectify the shortcomings.

Hull turned into a maze of orange barricades, right up until the start of the event, such was the level of uplift.

Probably the only thing they had spare, they've been swapping them around all day/night. 5418 was running light at 10pm from crookgate towards newcastle.

I passed Consett Bus Station around 9.45pm and there was a red kite streetlight in darkness with its engine access bonnet raised so may explain 5418’s light running

Although the Red Kite B9's run with good loadings during morning and evening peaks, the 'older generation' are the main users during the rest of the day, particularly Shotley Bridge to Consett and Rowlands Gill to metrocentre. The lower saloon gets packed and the upper deck is virtually empty raising compaints 'there's not enough seats!'
