Does anybody know when the Citarios are due in for repaint from Cobalt clipper to X21, since the others are getting painted blue for the transfer onto the 50.

Next year. They will be sent to Mercedes for warranty repaint. They will probs have to pay extra for different colour like they did for the citaros on the diamond

Here's a question for you all. Newcastle is becoming very hard to get in and out off. More and more people are using buses to get around thanks to spiraling motoring costs. Do you think it's time that all fares collected in Newcastle City Centre become cashless where you buy from a machine then show the ticket and sit down?

The Wellington Street, Gateshead bridgeworks have, as you will be aware, now over-run, by a considerable number of weeks.

Following dialogue with Gateshead Council, we have now been advised that these works will be removed by Friday 20th December 2013 and will not be reinstated after the Christmas and New Year period.

Consequently, all services operating between Gateshead and Newcastle will return to normal route via Hills Street as soon as the bridge works have been removed.

The wording there suggests that the work isn't finished and we'll likely see them again (no doubt in the 6 weeks)

The roadworks in Birtley have started again by the War Memorial. Causing a lot of disruption

They're outside Presto too.
Temp stop across the road, with the shelter vanishing.

Typical Network Rail contract over-run , remember how many times they put back the completion date when they closed the High Level Bridge. Network Rail seem to under estimate the scope of work on these jobs allowing their contractors to apply multiple variation orders resulting in the schemes failing on time and budget delivery.

I got stuck towards Durham this morning past few days (likely school run traffic around there with the 2 schools)

My key card didn't work yesterday, insisted driver took the digits (as per GNE instructions) and he blank out refused saying it wasn't his problem and I had to fork out £2.60 from Gateshead to the Fell. Not impressed.

I'm not even going to bother writing in as it's a corporate one and they'll give me a useless free ticket and an empty apology. Have to say its rare as CLS drivers are normally spot on.

It worked fine on the X21 so obviously a defective reader
