(02 Jun 2014, 3:26 pm)Dan I think it has for quite some time? Pretty much every single one of them has at least one bit of branding missing.

I know 4855 has it's front 'Lime' sticker missing - but I didn't notice 4900's until today. To be honest - I think 4855 looks quite shabby when compared to the others because it's left side Lime sticker is covered over by a new panel and as a result doesn't look right.

4852 and 4901 have also lost branding on at least one of their sides due to replacement panels being fitted.
Guess they thought that as most of them were being repainted, the brand was pretty much gone anyway so didn't really make too much of a difference.

7076 was the last manual transmission coach at the driving school. I have happy memories of driving it in its younger days along the south coast.

I've got a favourite for all of Chester's brands;

The Angel - 6067
The Lime - 4852
The Whey Aye Five 0 - 5257
The Waggonway - 4958
The Worm - 8302
Red Lolyne - 3878
Red President - 6022
Red Renown - 4907
Red Solar - 4930

As for single bus types within the depot; 3983 is just crap. Big Grin

(01 Jun 2014, 9:29 pm)RCN 699 I don't think Go North East will be sending a Versa to the Tyne Tees run in South Shields again. The overhang hit the road coming out of Bents Park and the driver had to reverse it and go out of another gate. The bus was 5378. It was particularly embarrassing because the veteran buses managed to make it. It reminds me of Seaburn a couple of years ago when one of Stagecoach's green deckers got stuck at the bottom of a wet grassy bank during the vintage vehicle rally and had to be rescued by a vintage tow truck that just happened to be there.

Most front entrance buses will have trouble getting into Bents Park. I had to crawl in yesterday driving Teesside Fleetline L544 with both front and rear overhang coming very close to grounding as the entrance to the park goes up at quite a steep angle from the road. Versas have an extra long overhang anyway.

Just spotted a GNE advert on my Facebook news feed for Citylink service 58. Wonder if different services are targeted depending on the location of the user.

Hopefully these unobtrusive ads will bring in a few more passengers.

Facebook can nail down the target audience based on the data you share with them.
Age, location, gender, relationship status etc.

I don't have my location on, so don't get the ones like you mentioned, but amongst the rubbish on there, I get ones clearly aimed at parents, about children on my feed - which is slightly concerning.

The Chronicle site does my t!ts in with the constant Cobalt Clipper or Waggonway advertisements.
It clearly isn't targeted at a specific audiences, as I have never needed (or intend to use) the 309 and have been on the 28 twice since it was created.

Angel = 3965
Lime = 4900
Whey Aye Five 0 = 5960
Waggonway = 4957
Lambton Worm = 8305
Lolyne = 3869
renown = 4909
President = 6022
solar = 4931

Reason why I seem to like 3965 coz it is the best behaved bus in that depot when I ridden on it once I was happy the driver was canny and lovely too

What do you mean best behaved in depot? Is it like Raggydolls (look it up kids - Andreos - you won't need to) where they all come alive after dark and cause havoc on Picktree Lane?

I do like 3965, only because of its spiritual link to the 724
