Must have changed it during the day as this morning it still had the private plate on. Never took a second glance at the trainer coaches this afternoon whilst getting more photos of the Citaro K.

Please feel free to visit my Flickr page - https://www.flickr.com/photos/gjm-photogenic/
Who needs heroes anyway? Villians have more fun.

(31 May 2014, 9:29 pm)a718abb 7076 is parked at the rear of Riverside Depot tonight showing reg no R139ABT. It would appear that YSU876 has been retained.

Thanks - I will edit the fleet list and add it to our news update accordingly.

We might see the photos when the Citaro K is no longer manufactured, eh? Tongue

Its ashame that the silver arrows and lime doesn't go along the divesion route all the time in each direction to pick passengers up from Grindon estate, stagecoach would be upset lol.

Yes, stagecoach has it on their website with service 20 terminating at the old 20 terminus at top of hylton road.

(31 May 2014, 8:20 pm)GMitchelhill The 19 did get deckers every now again. Usually on the short workings from Northumberland Park to Cobalt South. Mind if one had to do the full route, it would use the East Howdon Bypass to go around the low bridge.

It can only do partial of the route abit like my beloved 88 cannot have a double decker if it did it would have to go along Hedgley Road past my aunts house but I have seen a Red Arrows on 88/88A in the past when they still had Citaros I photographed it on my own turf returning from Newcastle after getting a Linkin Park cd namely Living Things but anythings possible but 19 can only do part of the route unless they divert the bus to avoid Percy Main Metro Bridge where I live there is only 1 route that can use double deckers and that is my beloved 27 I've been on most double deckers on that route vykings Olympians presidents Gemini (i got a funny story what happned on 3963 I was with a mate of mine when it happned and it was funny) only one I need to try is Gemini 2 I'm sure it will happen eventually when possibly if 27 does get newer buses but am content with the ones on now

I don't think Go North East will be sending a Versa to the Tyne Tees run in South Shields again. The overhang hit the road coming out of Bents Park and the driver had to reverse it and go out of another gate. The bus was 5378. It was particularly embarrassing because the veteran buses managed to make it. It reminds me of Seaburn a couple of years ago when one of Stagecoach's green deckers got stuck at the bottom of a wet grassy bank during the vintage vehicle rally and had to be rescued by a vintage tow truck that just happened to be there.

Volvo B10BLE 4845: R845 PRG has returned to Stanley from Deptford and MPD 535: NA52 AWX has been transferred from Peterlee to Hexham.

Volvo B10M driver training vehicle 7076 has been re-registered R139 ABT prior to disposal.

Volvo B10BLEs 4837: R837 PRG, 4838: R838 PRG and 4839: R839 PRG and SPDs 8221: V221 ERG and 8231: X231 FBB have been sold to Ensign Bus Co., Purfleet.

Edit: The soccerbus tab has being took of the site - obvious reason because the football season has ended.

Will we see 4910 de-branded and re-painted?

I'm not too surprised that 7076 was withdrawn; after all, the cost of repainting and branding these Driver Trainer coaches must be close to the £2000 mark? A relatively high cost for vehicles which don't actually generate revenue for the company - merely boosts the company's image in the eyes of potential new recruits. It goes without saying that it's very rare to see all of the trainer vehicles in action at once, and the withdrawal (and assumed sale) of 7076 will perhaps contribute towards the payment of the repainting/branding of the other Driver Trainer vehicles. Who can tell I had a Business Studies exam today? Wink

I highly doubt you'll find a Volvo B10BLE/Wright Renown acting as 7076's replacement for the reason mentioned previously: it's very rare to see all of the trainer vehicles in action at once. You'd be paying to have a bus sitting around doing nothing.

Volvo B10BLE/Wright Renown 4845 transferred to Stanley during the night of May 13th 2014 and was used in service the following day on "Diamond" service 44, as originally noted here. When the transfer initially took place, I updated NEB's fleet list accordingly. 4845 is classed as a 'float vehicle', and as such, "floats" around depots wherever it is required. As you know, the "Lime" Volvo B10s are currently undergoing repaint. I suspect 4845 is the designated bus to allow Stanley to have the same number of buses as they'd usually have, so they are not left short.

(02 Jun 2014, 3:20 pm)Marcus I saw 4900 this morning operating the 8:00 78 from Chester to Sunderland; and it had it's back Lime vinyl removed.

I think it has for quite some time? Pretty much every single one of them has at least one bit of branding missing.
