Hate to add to the PB Solars saga, but one was took out of service this morning at 8:52 as it was gushing a lot of liquid onto the road in park lane, was starting to cause quite a little flood.

Well I wasn't informed about that one - but I'll take your word for it...!

I still think it would have been a short trip to Deptford and put straight back out onto the Prince Bishops later in the day, as a friend at Deptford didn't inform me of any issues on the PB, as they usually would.
Shame you didn't catch a fleet number as I could have asked again!

Well Malarkey got on that one in the afternoon, which backs up what I said about it only being taken back to the depot for a short amount of time and it being a minor issue.

Doesn't account for the B10 on the 20 yesterday, but I'll see if I can find anything out.

Driver of 5256 on the 14:30pm 50 from Lambton to South Shields must thought I was some sort of looney when signaling him stop, after seeing two thick plooms of black smoke come from the exhaust, didnt even bother stopping either so I rang Customer Services so they could inform Contact Control, so then control could inform the Driver of what I had seen.

Issues on the 4 (and probably other Houghton buses), due to the closure of Broadway.
Followed two down Burn Park Road earlier on, to see one switch NIS (presumably ordered by control), but still followed the route.

No notices on stops mentioning the road closure - with a couple on Dairy Lane standing waiting for a bus.

No signs on bus stops you say - feel free to mention this to Nexus, them's the boys who look after that sort of thing, or don't as it seems to be in this case.  After their cracking apology notice from Eldon Square last weekend, it's possibly best that they say nowt!

@busman101, yup all their responsibility. Mind, if we had one body overseeing everything - maybe the flow of communication would be better.

No idea about any notices in Eldon Square last weekend though

Flip side of the coin - it stays the same as it is at present, and customers are at even more of a disadvantage...

I note that Nexus did not include anything about this disruption on their website, nor did they make an effort to put posters up at bus stops, but Go North East did include a little something on their website about the disruption prior to the event:
http://www.simplygo.com/news/houghton-feast-2014

Smaller operators, such as Compass Community Transport (of whom I imagine will be affected by the disruption at Houghton-le-Spring), rely on Nexus to make notices on their website because some of these companies don't have a website of their own, and when this doesn't happen, customers are left completely unaware...

I'm not sure whether notices were put up on-board Go North East buses, which they should have been in the event of a disruption like this, but customers were certainly made aware of the disruption via the website - more than what can be said about Nexus' efforts!

4908 parked up in Woodstone Village with hazards on. It is supposed to be doing a 78 to Sunderland, but wasn't doing very much when I passed it a few moments back.

A un-id'd laser was spotted at East Stanley the other day. Driven by an engineer and was heading away from Stanley depot. Any information on this?

GNE have now put a daily cap of 150MB per user for their wifi.  Some users lets say were using a fair bit more than that......
