Hi all,

One of my photos in the Railways > Livery Lists thread has gone all funny, showing pixelated colourful mess. (In the Northern Rail section)

Does anyone know what's happened?

Thanks,
Tommy.

I'm trying to include a photo in my signature (like Tommy's), the photo is on my computer not the internet.. how to I get it there as I can't find a 'button' which allows me to do this.

Cheers

14th button along, you upload it privately to Flickr (but don't delete it like what I did to my Class 66 one), download the photo by clicking the arrow at the bottom right of the black section.

It should have 'farm[number]' in the URL.

Copy all the URL and paste into the 14th button along on the panel above your text, I recommend the height being '100' to comply with forum rules, and the width being from 150-230 dependent on if the photo stretches.

If you're going to have text under it, use the normal size of font then below that line use size '2'.

All the best,
Tommy

Use an image hosting service, such as imgur, and then link back to the image. Once you upload, you'll be given the forum code to use in your signature.

If more than one photo is going to be placed into a post, would it not be better to just post the link rather than embed the photo into the post? Just tiring[Image: arrow-10x10.png] having to scroll down a few times because a few photos have all been embedded into the same post making it massive

It makes the post look more professional, in my opinion. Take these examples.

I went to Someplace today and here's my photos.

I prefer to actually have the photos in the posts as the links just look a mess and if there was loads of links I would probably click only click the first one then bother with the rest of them.

I understand why this can be seen as annoying but I think it is better than having links where I doubt anyone would bother clicking.
