Just thinking....

The duel door B10's... i thought GNE would have got away with using the middle door (same as the Vykings)... for wheel chair uses... they're not... so what does GNE have to change if they decide to make them in to DDA to?

Same as the B10's remove a couple of seats in the wheelchair area?

I only see 4896-4925 getting done - i think the duel doors will be out the door first when new buses arrive...

Anyone know when 5148 will be withdrawn... it seems to be hanging on

It has been out in service once, but not since. I believe further internal modifications need to be made to facilitate the flywheel modification.

On top of this, 6104 has been to Riverside for PSV.

More of a carry on than out, sounds like this is going to be a long process...

Not sure of a timescale on the project, but I'd imagine once they know what they're doing, they will be able to see the process through much quicker.

6085 is at Thorntons at the moment, so I guess it is at the internal modification stage already (providing they're not just doing the whole job up here now).

I would imagine that the rear bulkhead might need to be moved forward or the floor lifted to make space for the additional components.

I believe the flywheel is located underneath the first set of front-facing seats on the nearside, behind the wheelchair bay.

When the flywheels get fitted, do you think that either 6116 / 6117 will get branded? How has the frequency increase to Blyth performed?

It must be catching.
There was a b5 out yesterday that had its number on display, but not it's destination.

No idea if it was a Chester terminating service or Durham one.
