(12 Dec 2015, 2:51 pm)BusLoverMum Nope. No eas way out again.Crook is very bad but one thing i will say nothing stops the Weardale doing the 101 service and i bet up the dale is very bad.
I'd have had no idea it was so bad if husband hadn't told me what it was like at home. Not over Stanley way, but still 500' above sea level.

The planned recruitment day being held by Go North East at Derwentside College, Consett, tomorrow, has had to be cancelled due to the weather presumably. They've made an announcement on Facebook which states that they will arrange another date for the recruitment day.

Its like Springwell... there's one in Gateshead and one in Sunderland (where i live)... although the one in Gateshead is called... Springwell Village i think, but both are classed as Springwell.
(13 Dec 2015, 8:58 pm)Bus_User I think looking at the post, I think its quite obvious the response was one of sarcasm and humour and if anything the person who replied just clearly did not get the humour with their more serious looking response.
I'm sure this has been mentioned before but just want some clarity, do all non DDA buses need to be withdrawn by the end of the year or is it next year when it gets enforced? And if its this year then is there some sort of exemption that can be in placed for bus operator to continue operating with non DDA stock?

(13 Dec 2015, 9:06 pm)S813 FVK I can't see the sarcasm and humour about the response at all, personally. It seems like somebody who wants to have a go at GNE, criticising them at the smallest of things (which they have actually been quite clear about). I would have replied to it in exactly the same way.

Had a trip on 6104 I think it was yesterday. I assume those two big boxes underneath the first two rows of seats behind the wheelchair bay are to do with the flywheel thingy that has been installed? The noises the flywheel thingy makes aren't to dissimilar to the hybrid solos on the Sunderland Connect services. It does make the bus noticeably louder as a few passengers commented yesterday.
