Hello.

This event was marred last year by poor organization. This year I have been assured that a team will be on hand to supervise the bus service and parking.

With this in mind I will again put FTN 710W forward to do 2 runs on the service.

I was in a rush last Sunday at the Metrocentre so will 4855 be attending again?

Just it looked like the best preserved bus I have EVER seen but I couldn't get a proper look

At the Metrocentre there was several (ok lots of them) well presented preserved vehicles and to be honest I couldn't single any one of them out. The only way round it is like this....

Best bus with registration A123BCD is bus with registration A123BCD.

Who doesn't want to hear that? Good show I say... the buses brought to the Metrocentre were very well presented.

It's nice to see there's a lot of respect for those that spend thousands restoring these vehicles to their former glory....

People twist for the sake of twisting. There's a lot of younger enthusiasts out there, that would love to have a good look at and around service vehicles, whilst they're not in service. Just look at the amount of people last weekend, having a good look around what Arriva and Go North East brought.

I hope it continues, as it goes some way to ensuring the events cater for everyone.

That's not what the comment is about. NK53 TKT is one of the younger members of the site, and as such, probably doesn't have any connection with the preserved vehicles we have. It's not a case of being disrespectful, but more so down to appeal. Each to their own, isn't it?

Sadly won't be able to make this. Forgot I was already fully booked to be travelling around Spain. Was looking forward to attending this one actually.

Hello.

This event had lots of trouble last year due to no communication between the parking marshals and the bus owners who were doing the shuttle runs.

This year I have been assured that this problem has been sorted out. So The Northern National Restoration Group will not only be bringing FTN 708W, FTN 710W and R855 PRG but both FTN 710W and R855 PRG will be doing the shuttle runs.

We will be doing 2 each with each bus. 4710 4855 4710 4855. Drivers for the day are Ian and myself.

The boys were bemused by the bus shuffling, last year.

We'll look forward to seeing all he vehicles there, but, can I ask, how do 2 drivers get 3 buses to the event? Wink

I hope that the parking is sorted this year... Last year it was shambolic! Also do we think the leaze bowl roadworks will cause any problems?

More than usual, but I don't think it'll be significant. Sunday through Durham is still rather quiet.

Only if the weather's good. The centre of Durham is dead on a Sunday, if it's not. Even when it is busy, the delays are nothing like as bad as weekdays.
