(14 Jan 2017, 10:12 am)S813 FVK To create any understanding of the livery, i think its your responsibility to go and find out yourself (and that goes to anybody who doesn't know) - especially as i would say that it is good to have as much local knowledge as possible. I wouldn't say it is the responsibility of the bus as it isn't an advert and, therefore, does not need to take seconds to read.
The small poems on the side are the work of pitman poet Tommy Armstrong himself and also some of the primary and secondary schools in and around Stanley. A poem certainly should not take so little time to read that you don't need to stop.
As GX03 said, it explains why 6132 went to Percy Main instead of 6143. A bus involving a pitman poet and Stanley operating in an area more associated with the shipping industry wouldn't quite work, would it?

Go North East have appointed Bluegrass Research to carry out a survey with the Passenger Panel on the subject of Contactless Payment. An extract from the email to Panel Members is shown below.
As a member of the Go North East Passenger Panel, we would like to invite you to take part in a short survey. We would like to know more about your usage of contactless payments and your opinion of paying for bus tickets in this way.

(14 Jan 2017, 9:09 pm)BusLoverMum Aye, we caught it on the 28, this afternoon. Perfect for keeping my shopping coldSame, and I've been on it since september 2015 😛
I filled this one in, too. It's the first survey I've had as a member of the panel.

Survey sounds interesting. Targeting people via email is a positive sign but with Arriva and stagecoach already offering, looks reactive
(14 Jan 2017, 11:32 am)Michael Has 699 still not had it's MOT done?
Hopefully when it's done, it's the first one branded meaning rest of the buses can start to get the brand, still think the 38 should of joined it....

(15 Jan 2017, 4:14 pm)Michael Is the same one as spotted at Wrights before Christmas?
If so, the others spotted at Wrights should also be here in England.
(15 Jan 2017, 4:18 pm)S813 FVK Good job a white white strip is still to be added - doesn't look anywhere near as good without it!

(15 Jan 2017, 4:18 pm)Dan Midnight Blue Streetlites 5445, 5446, 5447 and 5449, as well as red/blue Streetlites 5451 and 5452 were on last night's shipping from Belfast to Heysham.
The one in the above photograph is 5451.
Yes, the white strip on the most recent new corporate livery repaints has been done as a vinyl as opposed to paint, meaning that the size of the 'swoop' will be consistent.
