(15 Jan 2017, 4:24 pm)Michael Cool thanks Dan, do you know where about's the photo of 5451 was taken?
Hopefully the above buses will arrive soon and out in service quickly, so they can start repainting the Citaro's.
Can you confirm where the Citaro's from the Durham Diamond are going yet?
(15 Jan 2017, 4:31 pm)Adrian Is it just me, or even with the stripe, will it still look different to 5439?
On the one on delivery from Wright's, the raised rear part is completely blue. There is red present after the stripe on 5439. https://www.flickr.com/photos/bazza90/31984675101/in/

(15 Jan 2017, 4:32 pm)Dan It was taken in Galgorm, near the Wrightbus factory, whilst on road test.
I see the "Fast Cats" branded Scania L94s are now undergoing repaint into the new corporate livery...

(15 Jan 2017, 4:36 pm)Dan I'd forgotten that I grabbed a quick snap on my phone of that one, on Friday! The real catch was the X24 branded Scania Omnilink!
5419 remains on loan to Chester-le-Street and was allocated to the 14/X22 today:

(09 Jan 2017, 3:06 pm)Jamie M 6128 heading to saltmedows, cannot confirm what for but it's a lot unhealthier than it was last night. Might be paint work, I don't know Some damage to the rear panels, but nout like 6127. I believe the backside was already worked on, on this one though. Another bus down at Stanley though..

Former Stanley based Volvo Olympian/ Northern Counties Palatine 2 3814 has apparently been purchased for preservation by Neil Heskett and Tyneside Heritage Vehicles in Felling.

Was ready to be withdrawn months ago - spent a good few weeks flying around without a radio.
(15 Jan 2017, 5:08 pm)Dan It was there for accident damage repairs and has been repainted into Go North East's new corporate livery.Good that it's actually been painted this time round like 😛

Ah right, haven't checked the news so didn't see it.
My bad.
Wonder if the Scania's from the X5 will go on the 9 so the Citaro's can go elsewhere? (as the Scania's are also Euro 5), hopefully the 61 replacing some of the older Versa's in the Simplicity brand.
There was discussion a while back about certain buses recieving eminox mods and it being funded by various local authorities. At the time, the query was whether those vehicles were to spend time within the same LA. As an example :- DCC fund mods to 5216 - it stays on routes that go in to Co Durham. 20 and then X35/X5.
I have no idea if it was ever confirmed what rules applied to the funding and if the vehicles were obliged to work in a specific area.
