(01 Feb 2018, 4:13 pm)Dan 5254 now branded for Whey Aye Five 0 - transferred to Washington this morning, seeing brief use on Red Arrows X1 then later Connections4.

The new larger destinations, which I like and approve  of, are spoilt by the use of "squashed" letters g, p, q and y (as in this "Houghton") which is unnecessary and will nullify the improvements for the visually impaired - and it just looks awful. I have however seen "Washington" and "Bishop Auckland" displayed sensibly.

No - the two extra L94s likely to replace coaches, I think.

Still likely to be on familiarisation until Monday.

(02 Feb 2018, 6:09 pm)Wybus Have all the diagrams on the Toonlinks changed this week, as from what I’ve seen the links between the various routes at Stanley and Newcastle seem to have changed. I assume in preparation for the Geminis?

X70 runs onto X71 at Newcastle and vice versa, 6 & X31 interwork as before and X30 is stand alone, this service should in theory be operated by omnicities. The B9s for the toon link services can’t get under the Dunston bridge.

Off the top of my head, X30 is 3, X70/X71 is 5. 19 boards in total 12 omnicities 7 omnidekkas, however the board that does the 822 pm only does the X30 at 16:30.

I feel that this would be unwise until they can gauge the reliability of 9084 in service.

Also 9084 is out in service today, currently on a 67 which just departed the Metrocentre (according to the app...)

Another destination layout spoilt by the squashed y. Totally unnecessary when using the full height of the screen.

The fleet is currently in a state of flux with lots going on, what time scales do you think it will be before everything settles down into place. I’m thinking namely...

All ex-Coaster Omnicities back in service
All ex-South Tyne Versas back in service
All ex-London Gemini’s in service
