(07 Oct 2016, 6:33 pm)GX03 SVC 4th September changes saw 4659 move to X20, and one of 7412-5 move to X14 alongside 7517 and a QLIN E400.
4653 is now a spare for MAX routes X14/5/6/8/20, alongside 7412 and 7515/6 which are branded as QLIN for flexibility. 4659 should receive X20 branding in the near future....hopefully!
If anyone wants to get the OmniCity run, its the first southbound X20 that starts at Hadston on Saturdays. Arrives Haymarket at 0725. It is the last Alnwick run on the evening.

(13 Dec 2016, 7:54 pm)JoshP Would it make sense for Darlington, when the X21 goes MAX Pulsar, to move all 14 Eco City's onto the 1/5/5A/19/12 and put Pulsars on the 2 & 8/8A?
Not sure of the PVR for the routes mentioned but it's just an idea.

7416 and 7446 are now part of the 35 allocation. Both vehicles are being kept local as whenever they stray to places like Newcastle or Berwick they break down....

(23 Mar 2017, 2:28 pm)mb134 "Stray to places like Newcastle", so when they go on the routes they should be allocated to?
So are Ashington okay with them permanently breaking down on the 35 instead?

(23 Mar 2017, 3:59 pm)omnicity4659 They've never broke down on the 35 for the last couple of weeks, but whenever they go further afield they decided to break in some convenient places!
Jesmond ended up having 7446 for a day a few weeks back, after it broke down in Haymarket the previous day, so they used it on Metros, broke down a couple of hours later...

So we've had the Solos in service since 2008 now, just short of 10 years. How long do you think they have left before they'll need replacing by a new Midi/Mini Bus?
This also goes for some of the Pulsars. How long do you reckon they have left before replacement, and what do you think will replace them in the future? A newer Wright bodied vehicle? Enviro 200MMCs?

(11 Jul 2017, 8:50 pm)RobinHood On paper, the 08 Solos will be fully depreciated next year as mini buses depreciate over 10 years, but due to the number they have, any new vehicles may come in over next few years to replace them, suggesting some examples may cling on for a while yet (epecially as darts still need to be withdrawn in places first).
Pulsars won't be end of life until 2024/2025, as Arriva depreciate single and double deckers over 15 years.
The next single deck buses due to go are Volvo B10BLEs at Jesmond, SB120s at Stockton and Commanders at Blyth.

(11 Jul 2017, 9:00 pm)JoshP Cool thanks! What do you reckon will replace the Solos? Darlo's are in the process of getting NSA's installed (I believe) So as you say I think they'll be around for a while longer yet.

Commanders have only just had a repaint, and have had work done to have interior branding inside, so I reckon they'll be around for a while yet.
I don't think deckers would be a logical replacement, seeing that the Commanders usually provide extra capacity on 1/2.

(12 Jul 2017, 9:43 am)mb134 Commanders usually allocated to X7/X8/X9 from my experience. All routes which really should be allocated deckers, especially at peak times.

The 16:30 X30 Newcastle to Blyth is now operated by Jesmond. Previously it was operated by Ashington.
