There are no trains running between Wallsend and North Shields in both directions until further notice. This is due to a vehicle hitting a Metro bridge. Go North East are accepting Metro tickets in the affected area. Bus services 1 operate between Wallsend and North Shields. We will update you as soon as we have more information.

There are newer preserved vehicles at bus rallies than some of those Metro cars. The oldest ones were built when I was at primary school.

Yes in the 1980s, I believe that was the metrocar that crashed into a bus at Kingston Park in the 1980s, but nothings come off the rails recently from what I can gather.

The Glasgow stock are 1970's Metro Cammel build too
